Summary

This 2023 Suzuki Dzire GLX represents a smart acquisition in the GCC market, offering the highest trim level for a model year that still feels new. Finished in Arctic White—a high-demand resale color across the region—it features a efficient 1.2-litre engine that handles city traffic and highway commutes with minimal fuel spend. While the mileage is slightly higher than the local annual average, it indicates a car that has been reliably utilized for highway-heavy UAE commutes, where mechanical health is typically better preserved than in constant stop-start congestion. For buyers seeking Japanese engineering at a fraction of the cost of larger sedans, this is one of the most cost-effective daily drivers available.

This Car vs Other 2023 Suzuki Dzires

With approximately 100,000 km, this vehicle reflects more active highway use compared to the typical 50,000–60,000 km found on same-year low-mileage listings. However, being the GLX trim in White, it holds a significant resale advantage over the base GL models, as white is the most preferred color for UAE buyers and ensures faster turnover in the used market.

GLX vs Lower Trims

The GLX trim upgrades the ownership experience significantly over the base GL, adding 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, and keyless push-start technology. Inside, it offers automatic climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, features that are essential for long drives in the GCC heat.

Dzire vs Segment Rivals

The Dzire competes directly with the Mitsubishi Attrage and Nissan Sunny. It leads the segment in fuel efficiency, claiming up to 4.6 L/100km, which outperforms the Sunny in urban economy. Its tight 4.8-meter turning radius also makes it noticeably easier to maneuver in dense Dubai and Abu Dhabi parking structures compared to the longer Nissan.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the GCC, with a 37-litre tank providing exceptional range due to the engine's high efficiency. Authorized service centers are widely available across all Emirates and the wider GCC via Al Rostamani Trading, with service intervals typically every 10,000 km. Suzuki retains value well in the local market, generally depreciating at only 10-12% annually, which is superior to its European sub-compact rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine produces 82 hp, which is perfectly suited for efficient urban commuting and steady highway cruising at 120 km/h. While not a desert vehicle, the front-wheel-drive setup is tuned for reliability in high-heat conditions, and the 5-speed automated transmission provides a smooth, gear-shifted feel without the drone often associated with budget CVTs.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its compact exterior, the Dzire offers a surprisingly spacious cabin with rear air conditioning vents—a critical feature for GCC summers. The GLX trim includes a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring modern connectivity for daily commutes. The 378-litre boot is deep and practical, easily accommodating large grocery runs or airport luggage.

Safety

Standard safety for the GLX includes dual front airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). It also features rear parking sensors, which are particularly helpful for navigating tight urban spaces, providing a layer of security that matches or exceeds standard safety equipment in the budget sedan segment.

The bottom line

Perfect for the budget-conscious professional or a small family needing a reliable second car, this GLX trim Dzire offers the best of Suzuki’s efficiency in the most desirable color for the UAE market.
