Summary

This 2023 Land Cruiser EXR represents a reliable entry into the LC300 generation, balancing modern TNGA-F platform refinements with the proven durability of Toyota's naturally aspirated V6. While its mileage reflects the typical long-distance life of a UAE workhorse, the white exterior remains the most sought-after resale color in the region. The EXR trim is highly valued for providing core off-road hardware without the complex electronics of higher grades, making it a favorite for long-term ownership. For a GCC buyer, this specific listing offers a robust, multi-purpose SUV that is equally at home on the school run as it is on a weekend desert crossing. It stands out by offering the legendary Land Cruiser badge and reliability with a powertrain built to handle extreme summer heat for decades.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruisers

At 101,588 km over three years, this vehicle has been driven more than the global average but sits right at the expected usage for a primary family SUV in the GCC. The white paint is a strategic choice for the local market, offering the best heat reflection and the highest historical resale retention. While higher-mileage examples exist, this car benefits from being part of the newer, lighter LC300 generation, which offers significantly better highway stability than the older LC200.

EXR vs Lower Trims

The EXR trim is the essential step up for serious GCC drivers, adding the crucial Crawl Control system and Multi-Terrain Select that are absent on base fleet models. It provides the perfect middle ground, featuring a leather-trimmed steering wheel and dual-zone climate control while retaining durable fabric seats that stay cooler in the 45 degree Celsius summer heat. You also get 18-inch alloy wheels that offer a better ride quality on rougher terrain compared to the larger wheels found on luxury-spec trims.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

The Land Cruiser remains the definitive choice over the Nissan Patrol for those prioritizing mechanical longevity and the widest service network in the region. While the Ford Expedition offers more interior tech, it cannot match the Toyota's 110-liter fuel capacity, which is essential for long cross-border drives between the Emirates and Oman or Saudi Arabia. Its body-on-frame construction ensures a level of structural rigidity in deep sand that monocoque competitors simply cannot replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 engine typically averages 10.6 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic will see this increase. Service intervals are standard at 10,000 km, and with the most extensive authorized service network in the GCC, parts are readily available from Salwa Road to Musaffah. This model enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the world, typically retaining over 80% of its value after three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The 271 hp V6 engine provides steady, reliable power that is perfectly tuned for the low-range transfer case during desert recoveries. With a 200 km/h top speed and a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 10.8 seconds, it is built for endurance rather than sprinting, ensuring the engine never feels strained during long highway hauls. The permanent four-wheel-drive system and high ground clearance allow it to navigate steep dunes and rocky wadis with absolute confidence.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is genuinely usable, with dedicated rear AC vents and independent controls to keep all three rows cool during peak summer. Acoustic glass comes standard on this generation, significantly reducing wind noise during high-speed commutes between cities. The cabin is designed with large, tactile buttons that are easy to operate even while driving off-road, emphasizing functionality and long-term durability over fragile touchscreens.

Safety

Safety is anchored by a comprehensive suite of airbags and Toyota's robust Electronic Stability Control, which is specifically calibrated for the high center of gravity inherent in large SUVs. Standard features include ISOFIX points for family safety, a rearview camera for urban parking, and Brake Assist, which is vital for managing the vehicle's weight during sudden stops on fast-moving highways. Its 5-star ANCAP-rated architecture provides one of the safest passenger cells in the segment.

The bottom line

For the buyer who needs a bulletproof daily driver that can transition into a desert explorer on weekends, this LC300 EXR is the most sensible and high-value choice in the current UAE market.
