Summary

This 2023 Toyota Raize is a standout choice for urban drivers, offering the sought-after 1.0L Turbo engine that provides more punch than the standard 1.2L. With only 37,000 km over 3 years, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 60,000–75,000 km expected in the GCC, making it a low-mileage gem. The white exterior is the premier choice for the region, offering the best heat reflection and the strongest resale potential in the UAE market. It combines the elevated seating position of a crossover with the footprint of a compact hatch, making it perfect for navigating tight city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As a GCC-spec Toyota, it offers complete peace of mind with unrivaled parts availability and service support across the entire region.

This Car vs Other 2023 Toyota Raizes

With just 37,000 km on the odometer, this Raize has seen light use compared to the high-mileage examples typically found in the GCC market. While many 3-year-old crossovers in the region approach 70,000 km due to long highway commutes, this vehicle retains a fresher mechanical feel. The white paint is not only practical for the local climate but ensures this car will remain highly desirable when it comes time to trade in.

TURBO G RA vs Lower Trims

The Turbo G trim is the most desirable configuration, upgrading the naturally aspirated 1.2L engine to a more responsive 1.0L turbocharged unit that delivers 140 Nm of torque. It also adds significant visual and functional upgrades, including 17-inch alloy wheels and LED sequential turn signals. Inside, you benefit from a larger 8 or 9-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, providing a more modern tech experience than the base E trim.

Raize vs Segment Rivals

The Raize competes directly with the Nissan Kicks and Kia Sonet, leading the segment in overall efficiency with its manufacturer-rated 20.4 km/L. While rivals may offer slightly more engine displacement, the Raize utilizes its lightweight DNGA platform to offer superior agility in city traffic. Toyota’s legendary resale value in the Middle East gives it a distinct financial advantage over European or Chinese competitors in the same price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel costs remain exceptionally low, with real-world consumption often exceeding 18 km/L on GCC highways. As a Toyota, this vehicle benefits from the most extensive service network in the Gulf, with authorized centers available in every major city from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. Maintenance is predictable and affordable, contributing to a strong value retention rate that typically sees these models hold approximately 65% of their value after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 1.0L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine delivers a surprisingly spirited 97 hp, providing confident overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. With 200 mm of ground clearance, it handles speed humps and gravel tracks with ease, though it remains a strictly front-wheel-drive urban crossover. The tight 5.1-meter turning radius makes it one of the easiest vehicles to park in crowded shopping mall basements.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed with GCC summers in mind, featuring a powerful air conditioning system that cools the compact space rapidly. While it fits five passengers, the real highlight is the 369-litre boot, which features a movable deck board that can be lowered to accommodate taller items or raised to create a flat loading floor. Smart storage solutions are scattered throughout the interior, including seventeen dedicated spaces for bottles and small items.

Safety

Safety is well-covered with standard features including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill-Start Assist, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System which is essential for the extreme temperature fluctuations of the Gulf. This trim includes a rear-view camera and parking sensors to simplify urban maneuvering. Dual front airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchors provide essential protection for small families.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a budget-conscious buyer who wants the reliability of a Toyota and the efficiency of a modern turbo engine in a low-mileage, GCC-spec package.
