Summary

This 2024 Toyota Raize E is a standout choice for urban drivers in the GCC, offering a perfect balance between vehicle age and mileage. With 33,000 km over two years, it has been driven slightly above the average but remains well within its primary mechanical lifespan. The Grey exterior is a highly resilient choice for the local market, maintaining its aesthetic appeal and resale value better than more niche colors. As a GCC-spec model, it is purpose-built to handle the intense summer heat while delivering class-leading fuel efficiency. For anyone looking for a modern, trouble-free commuter with the backing of a massive service network, this listing is a top-tier candidate.

This Car vs Other 2024 Toyota Raizes

With 33,000 km on the odometer, this Raize has seen regular use typical of a daily commuter in the UAE, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. While slightly higher than weekend-only cars, this mileage is well-distributed for a two-year-old vehicle and suggests consistent mechanical circulation. The Grey paint is a strategic choice for the GCC, offering excellent resistance to dust visibility and high demand in the secondary market.

E vs Lower Trims

The E trim serves as the primary gateway to the Raize lineup, providing essential modern tech that lower base variants in other markets often skip. In the GCC, this trim includes the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, which is a major convenience upgrade. You also benefit from integrated steering wheel controls and rear parking sensors, features that significantly improve the daily urban driving experience compared to entry-level subcompacts.

Raize vs Segment Rivals

The Raize leads its segment in pure urban efficiency, outclassing rivals like the Renault Duster and Suzuki Jimny when it comes to fuel costs. Its 369-litre boot is remarkably large for its footprint, offering more practical storage than the more rugged Jimny. While others focus on off-road niche, the Toyota prioritizes the stop-start traffic of Dubai and Riyadh with a smooth CVT and a tight 4.9-metre turning radius.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the SUV category, with a manufacturer-claimed economy of 4.6 L/100km. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months, and with Al Futtaim and other major distributors across the GCC, parts are affordable and readily available. The Raize is known for strong value retention, typically holding about 65% of its value after three years, far outperforming European subcompact crossovers in the local market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine, this Raize is optimized for efficiency rather than raw speed, making it an ideal companion for the daily grind. It handles highway cruising at 120 km/h with ease, though its real strength lies in its agility through congested city streets. With a 200 mm ground clearance, it manages speed bumps and uneven urban terrain far better than a standard hatchback, providing that sought-after SUV visibility.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers, featuring a high-set seating position that provides excellent all-around visibility. For the GCC climate, the air conditioning system is remarkably powerful, a hallmark of Toyota's regional engineering. The interior uses durable fabric upholstery and smart storage solutions, including a movable deck board in the boot to accommodate taller items during grocery runs or weekend trips.

Safety

Safety is well-handled with standard Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), which are vital for maintaining traction on sandy road shoulders. This trim includes dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to ensure safety during high-temperature highway drives. Rear parking sensors are standard, making it one of the easiest SUVs to park in tight city spaces.

The bottom line

This Raize is the perfect match for a young professional or a small family seeking a nearly-new SUV with rock-solid Toyota reliability and minimal running costs. Given its GCC spec and popular color, it represents a safe financial move with very predictable depreciation.
