Summary

This 2024 BMW 735i M Sport represents a highly strategic buy in the GCC market, offering the prestige of the latest G70 generation with a mileage profile that suggests consistent, light executive use. Finished in Black—a top-tier resale color in the region—it balances the imposing presence of the M Sport package with the efficiency of BMW's mild-hybrid straight-six. While rivals often lean solely on comfort, the 7 Series retains a driver-centric edge that makes the long commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi genuinely engaging. For a GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the peace of mind provided by the regional spec, ensuring the cooling systems and electronics are built to withstand 50°C summers without hesitation.

This Car vs Other 2024 735is

With 41,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits exactly at the expected average for a year-old executive sedan in the GCC, where highway-heavy commutes are the norm. Its black exterior is one of the safest investments for future resale value in the UAE and Saudi markets. Compared to similar 2024 listings, this M Sport trim offers a more aggressive aesthetic that typically commands a faster sale.

M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim is the most sought-after configuration in the GCC, adding the high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, M-specific wheels, and an aerodynamic body kit that differentiates it from the standard Design Pure Excellence. Inside, it features the M leather steering wheel and unique interior trim finishes that give the cabin a more purposeful, modern feel. These visual and tactile upgrades are key drivers of premium value in the local used market.

735i vs Segment Rivals

While the Mercedes-Benz S-Class focuses on isolated soft-luxury, the 735i leads the segment in digital integration with its curved display and advanced OS8.5 interface. It offers a more agile driving experience than the Lexus LS, thanks to its 48V mild-hybrid system that provides smoother stop-start transitions in heavy Riyadh or Dubai traffic. The 74-litre fuel tank ensures significant cruising range for cross-border GCC road trips.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 735i is impressive for its size, averaging around 7.9 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic may push this closer to 10 L/100km. Being a GCC spec vehicle, it benefits from the full support of authorized service centers like AGMC or Abu Dhabi Motors, which are widely available across the UAE. The G70 generation is currently showing strong value retention, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its predecessor during the first three years.

Performance & Capability

Propelled by a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six producing 300 hp, this sedan reaches 100 km/h in a brisk 6.7 seconds. The All-Wheel Drive system provides exceptional stability during sudden seasonal rain or on the gravel-swept shoulders of desert highways. Its electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h and refined 8-speed automatic transmission make it an effortless high-speed cruiser for the region's well-maintained road networks.

Comfort & Cabin

The 4-seat configuration transforms the rear into a first-class lounge, ideal for executive transport or high-end family use. BMW’s latest AC system is specifically engineered to handle extreme GCC heat, providing rapid cabin cooling even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. The cabin is heavily insulated with acoustic glass to maintain a library-quiet atmosphere, even at highway speeds, while the digital cockpit remains clear and legible under the intense Arabian sun.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite including Active Guard and Driving Assistant Professional, which are invaluable for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways. Standard features include Lane Departure Warning, Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, and a 360° camera system that makes parking this large sedan effortless in tight mall spaces. The adaptive LED headlights provide excellent visibility for night driving on unlit desert roads.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer who values cutting-edge tech and a sporty presence, this GCC-spec M Sport is a perfectly timed opportunity to own the flagship 7 Series without the steep initial depreciation of a showroom-fresh car.
