Summary

This 2024 Exeed LX Comfort offers a compelling entry into the premium crossover market with a sophisticated grey exterior that holds strong resale value in the UAE. While the mileage is higher than average for a single year of ownership, it reflects the typical long-distance highway usage that GCC-spec vehicles are engineered to handle comfortably. As the luxury sub-brand of Chery, Exeed distinguishes itself from budget rivals with superior cabin materials and a suite of high-end technology usually reserved for more expensive segments. For a GCC buyer, this model represents a balance of modern aesthetics and efficient performance, backed by a growing regional support network. It is an ideal choice for urban professionals seeking a tech-forward daily driver that doesn't compromise on fuel economy.

This Car vs Other 2024 Exeed LXs

With 82,929 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC. However, this high mileage is largely reflective of highway commuting between emirates, which often results in less mechanical wear than stop-start city traffic. The grey exterior is a highly practical and desirable choice for the region, offering better heat reflection than darker tones and maintaining strong demand in the local used market.

Comfort vs Lower Trims

Even in the Comfort trim, the 2024 LX provides a premium experience that includes twin 12.3-inch curved digital displays and a high-quality leather-trimmed interior. While higher trims add advanced driver assistance systems like adaptive cruise control, the Comfort trim maintains the core luxury feel with power-adjustable seats and a soft-touch dashboard that exceeds the standard equipment of base models in this segment. It focuses on delivering the essential premium features GCC buyers prioritize, such as effective climate control and modern infotainment.

LX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed LX competes directly with the MG ZS and Haval Jolion, standing out through its more refined 'Intellect-Sensation' design philosophy and superior cabin insulation. Its 1.5-litre turbocharged engine offers a smoother power delivery compared to many entry-level naturally aspirated rivals, and the 400-litre boot capacity provides more practical cargo space for family road trips. The integrated dual-screen cockpit gives it a significant technological edge over more traditional Japanese competitors in the same price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a strong suit for the 1.5T engine, achieving a manufacturer-rated 6.9 L/100km, which translates to roughly 14.5 km/L in mixed driving conditions. Service intervals for Exeed in the UAE are typically scheduled every 10,000 km or 6 months, and the brand is supported by a growing network of authorized centers across the GCC. While Chinese luxury brands see slightly higher initial depreciation than established Japanese rivals, the LX’s high standard equipment levels help it retain value among tech-savvy buyers.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, providing responsive acceleration for highway overtaking and city merging. Mated to a CVT with 9 virtual ratios, the LX delivers a smooth and linear driving experience tailored for on-road comfort. With 200 mm of ground clearance, it easily handles high curbs and uneven gravel paths, though it is primarily designed as a front-wheel-drive urban crossover rather than a desert off-roader.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a 2,670 mm wheelbase, ensuring generous legroom for all five passengers and a nearly flat rear floor for improved middle-seat comfort. The dual-zone climate control system is specifically calibrated for the extreme heat of the GCC, featuring dedicated rear vents to keep the entire cabin cool during peak summer months. Premium synthetic leather upholstery and high-quality acoustic glass contribute to a quiet, upscale atmosphere during long drives across the Emirates.

Safety

The 2024 Exeed LX comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including front and side airbags, electronic stability control, and a high-definition rearview camera system. Active safety features such as tire pressure monitoring and brake assist are standard, providing essential protection for fast-moving highway traffic. The vehicle's high-strength steel cage construction offers robust passive safety, ensuring peace of mind for family-oriented buyers in the region.

The bottom line

This 2024 Exeed LX is a smart opportunity for a buyer who wants a nearly new, high-tech premium SUV at a significant discount due to its highway mileage. It combines efficient turbocharged performance with a cabin that feels a class above its price point, making it a standout value choice in the current UAE market.
