Summary

This Exeed LX presents a compelling case for buyers seeking modern tech and luxury aesthetics at a mid-market price point. As a GCC spec 2024 model, it remains highly current within the regional market, offering the reliability of the 1.5L turbocharged powertrain that balances urban agility with highway efficiency. The vibrant red exterior stands out in a market dominated by neutral tones while remaining a desirable choice for modern crossover enthusiasts. Compared to established rivals, this listing offers a significant features-to-value ratio, especially considering its young age and mechanical suitability for the local climate. For a GCC owner, the standout benefit is the balance of premium cabin materials and a proven powertrain that handles extreme heat and long commutes with ease.

This Car vs Other 2024 Exeed LXs

With approximately 75,490 km on the odometer, this LX has seen active use typical of a primary commuter vehicle in the GCC, where annual averages often exceed 25,000 km. While higher than some low-use examples, this mileage indicates the car is mechanically settled and has likely undergone its major initial service cycles. The red exterior provides a sporty, distinctive look that differentiates it from the fleet-standard white and silver models commonly found in the UAE.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim in the GCC lineup, the Comfort grade focuses on essential technology, including the dual 12.3-inch digital displays and a 360-degree camera system that are often optional on competitors. It omits the complex AWD systems found in higher trims, reducing long-term maintenance complexity and improving fuel efficiency. Buyers still benefit from premium leather-trimmed seating and full LED lighting, ensuring a high-end feel without the flagship price premium.

LX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed LX competes directly with the MG RX5, Geely Coolray, and Hyundai Tucson. It leads the segment in perceived cabin quality, utilizing soft-touch materials and a dual-screen layout inspired by European luxury brands. While the Hyundai offers a larger dealer network, the LX provides significantly more standard technology and safety features at a lower entry point, making it the choice for tech-focused buyers.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L turbo engine is engineered for efficiency, achieving roughly 6.9 L/100km on open highways, though GCC stop-start traffic may see figures closer to 8.5 L/100km. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by a growing authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While Chinese premium brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the LX retains value better than base-tier competitors due to its high equipment levels and transferable 7-year/200,000 km manufacturer warranty.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, the LX offers smooth power delivery through a CVT with 9 virtual ratios. Its 0–100 km/h time of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h make it more than capable for overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. With 200 mm of ground clearance, it easily manages high curbs and gravel access roads common during weekend trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a highlight of the LX, featuring a Mercedes-inspired digital cockpit and dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents to combat the GCC summer. Acoustic insulation is surprisingly effective, providing a quiet environment even at highway speeds of 120 km/h. The 5-seat layout offers generous legroom for a compact SUV, and the 351-litre boot is perfectly sized for daily shopping or airport runs.

Safety

Safety is managed through a comprehensive suite that includes 6 airbags and a 360-degree high-definition camera system as standard. The LX includes essential active systems like Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, and Hill Start Assist, which are particularly valuable on sandy or loose gravel surfaces. Its Euro NCAP 5-star heritage ensures that structural safety is at the forefront of the driving experience.

The bottom line

This 2024 Exeed LX is the ideal match for a young professional or small family looking for a tech-forward SUV that feels premium without the luxury tax. It represents a smart buy for those who value modern interior aesthetics and a comprehensive warranty over brand heritage.
