Summary

This 2024 Exeed LX Comfort represents a sophisticated entry into the premium crossover segment, offering a high-tech cabin that punches well above its price bracket. With mileage that reflects typical annual use for a modern commuter in the UAE, it remains a fresh alternative to established rivals. The striking Red exterior is a bold choice that stands out in a market of whites and silvers, while maintaining good appeal for younger buyers. As a GCC-spec model, it is factory-prepared for the region's climate with an optimized air conditioning system and dual-screen interface. For those seeking luxury features like a digital cockpit and premium materials without the traditional luxury brand premium, this is an excellent choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 Exeed LXs

At 73,373 km, this LX has seen average to slightly active use for its year in the GCC, where highway commuting often results in higher annual figures than elsewhere. It presents a strong case for value, offering the same modern tech and updated styling as lower-mileage examples at a more accessible entry point. The vibrant Red finish provides a distinctive road presence that is increasingly popular for resale in the local boutique crossover market.

Comfort vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim serves as the gateway to Exeed's premium experience, notably including the twin 12.3-inch high-definition screens that dominate the dashboard. While it is the entry-level trim, it retains key luxury essentials such as the Lion 3.0 Smart Cloud infotainment system, keyless entry, and a 360-degree camera system. Unlike basic trims in competitive brands, the LX Comfort keeps the full digital cockpit experience as standard.

Exeed LX vs Segment Rivals

The LX is often cross-shopped with the Chery Tiggo 7 and MG HS, but it distinguishes itself through significantly higher interior material quality and cabin insulation. It offers a 2,670 mm wheelbase that provides superior rear legroom compared to many sub-compact crossovers, making it more viable for small families. Furthermore, its fuel tank capacity and optimized highway efficiency make it a better companion for the long drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5L turbo engine averages between 7–8 L/100 km, making it one of the most efficient premium crossovers for city commuting in Riyadh or Dubai. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 10,000 km, supported by a growing authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While Chinese premium brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese stalwarts, the transferrable 7-year/200,000 km warranty provides a significant safety net for used market value retention.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, the LX is tuned for smooth, linear power delivery ideal for urban traffic. The CVT transmission features 9 virtual ratios, allowing for quiet cruising at highway speeds and quick responses during overtaking. While primarily a road-biased SUV, its 200 mm ground clearance is more than sufficient for handling gravel tracks and the high speed bumps common in GCC residential areas.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to shield occupants from the Middle Eastern heat, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents. The 5-seat layout is trimmed in premium leatherette, and the 400-litre boot is perfectly sized for grocery runs or weekend staycations. Acoustic glass and soft-touch materials ensure a quiet environment, even when navigating the busy multi-lane highways of the UAE.

Safety

This LX comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Brake Assist. The standard 360-degree camera and parking sensors are invaluable for navigating tight mall parking, while Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring assist with safety during long-distance desert highway journeys. The vehicle is built on a high-strength steel chassis designed to meet global safety standards.

The bottom line

Perfect for tech-savvy professionals or small families, this GCC-spec Exeed LX offers a near-new luxury interior and excellent fuel economy at a significant saving over its original list price.
