Summary

This 2024 Ford Territory Trend offers a modern, high-tech cabin that punches well above its weight in the crossover segment. With mileage significantly below the 50,000 km mark typically seen for two-year-old SUVs in the UAE, this specific unit is an ideal choice for buyers who want the latest tech without new-car depreciation. The Brown exterior is a sophisticated, neutral choice for the GCC market, offering better heat management than darker blacks while maintaining strong resale liquidity. For local owners, the combination of a turbocharged 1.8L EcoBoost engine and a smooth 7-speed automatic provides the right balance for city commuting and weekend trips between emirates. Its standout feature remains the exceptional rear legroom, which is arguably the best in its class for family comfort.

This Car vs Other 2024 Ford Territorys

At just over 29,000 km, this unit sits well below the average mileage for 2024 models in the UAE, where heavy highway commuting often puts cars at 40,000 km or higher by this stage. The Brown metallic finish is a smart alternative to the common white or silver, offering a premium look that holds its value well in the local pre-owned market. Choosing this specific 2024 model allows you to secure the remaining portion of the manufacturer warranty while avoiding the sharpest part of the initial depreciation curve.

Trend vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim is the 'sweet spot' for GCC families, upgrading the basic Ambiente spec with essential regional comforts like dual-zone automatic climate control and premium vinyl 'pseudo-leather' upholstery. It adds high-value safety features including side airbags and a larger 12-inch infotainment screen, which are often the first things buyers look for at resale. You also benefit from LED headlamps with 'Follow Me Home' functionality and roof rails, giving it a much more substantial presence on the road than the entry-level model.

Ford Territory vs Segment Rivals

The Territory offers significantly more rear legroom and a wider cabin than the Toyota Corolla Cross or Honda CR-V, making it a better fit for families with growing teenagers. While many rivals in this price bracket use smaller 1.5L engines or CVTs, the Ford’s 1.8L EcoBoost and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provide superior highway overtaking power on fast-moving UAE roads. Its 12-inch touchscreen and digital cockpit interface also feel a full generation ahead of the more conservative infotainment systems found in its Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.8L EcoBoost engine is designed for efficiency, with official fuel consumption rated at approximately 7.0 L/100km, though you should expect closer to 8.5 L/100km in typical Dubai or Riyadh stop-start traffic. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is fully supported by an extensive authorized service network including Al Tayer in the UAE and Al Jazirah in KSA, ensuring parts are always readily available. The Territory has shown surprisingly resilient value retention in the local market, typically depreciating at a slower rate than older Ford sedan models due to the high demand for modern crossovers. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, which is standard for the region.

Performance & Capability

With 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque, the Territory feels punchy and responsive when merging onto fast highways like E11 or E311. It features four selectable drive modes—Normal, Eco, Sport, and Mountain—allowing the driver to optimize the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for either efficiency or sharper throttle response. While it is front-wheel drive and built for the road, its generous ground clearance is perfect for navigating high speed bumps and gravel parking areas common in developing residential communities. The 60-litre fuel tank provides a reliable range of over 700 km on the highway, making it an excellent partner for cross-country drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around GCC family life, featuring dedicated rear AC vents to keep passengers cool during the peak summer months. The Trend trim features a 12-inch center touchscreen that controls most vehicle functions, creating a clean, modern aesthetic that is well-insulated from exterior road noise. Storage is a major strength, with 20 different binnacles throughout the interior for water bottles, sunglasses, and mobile devices. The boot offers 448 litres of space, which is enough for a full weekly grocery shop or two large suitcases, expanding to 1,422 litres with the rear seats folded flat.

Safety

The 2024 Territory Trend comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags (front and side) and a high-definition rear-view camera with parking sensors. Active safety tech like the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) is standard on this trim, providing crucial assistance during lane changes on busy multi-lane highways. Additional features like Hill Launch Assist, Electronic Stability Control, and a dedicated Tire Pressure Monitoring System ensure peace of mind whether you are navigating rain-slicked city streets or long desert stretches.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, GCC-spec SUV that offers the interior space of a much larger vehicle combined with the running costs of a compact crossover. It is the perfect opportunity for a young family or professional looking for a modern, warranty-backed vehicle that is ready for the UAE's unique driving demands.
