Summary

This 2024 Ford Territory Trend is a sophisticated choice for GCC drivers, offering a balance of modern tech and urban practicality with mileage that reflects a single year of active use. In the local market, the Trend trim is highly sought after for including essential upgrades like dual-zone climate control and a large 12-inch touchscreen while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency. The Territory distinguishes itself from rivals with its exceptionally generous rear legroom and a refined turbocharged powertrain that handles the UAE's high-speed commutes with ease. This brown exterior offers a neutral and professional aesthetic that holds its value well across the region's used car market. For any GCC buyer, the strong authorized service network and standard 1.8L EcoBoost engine make this a reliable and cost-effective family crossover.

This Car vs Other 2024 Ford Territorys

At 51,378 km, this vehicle's mileage is slightly above the typical annual GCC average of 25,000 km, suggesting it has been used primarily for long-distance highway commutes. This often means less wear on the brakes and transmission compared to stop-start city cars. The brown finish is a practical and professional choice for the region, resisting the visible effects of fine desert dust better than darker tones.

TREND vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim is a significant step up from the base Ambiente, introducing features that are critical for comfort in the GCC climate, such as dual-zone automatic temperature control. It also upgrades the cabin with premium vinyl (pseudo-leather) seating and a more advanced 6-speaker audio system. Buyers also benefit from the addition of a rear-view camera and front fog lamps, which are not standard on the base model.

Territory vs Segment Rivals

The Ford Territory leads competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and Kia Sportage in rear passenger space, thanks to a wheelbase designed to maximize second-row legroom. While many rivals use naturally aspirated engines, the Territory's 1.8L EcoBoost turbo provides 320 Nm of torque, offering better overtaking power on fast-moving highways like E11. Its 60-litre fuel tank ensures fewer stops during cross-emirate travel.

Running Costs & Resale

With an official fuel economy of 15.6 km/L, the Territory is one of the more efficient turbocharged SUVs in its class, though real-world GCC city driving typically sees 8.5 to 9.5 L/100km. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, with a wide network of authorized Ford service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensuring parts availability. The model shows a stable depreciation curve in the GCC, as it is a high-demand family vehicle.

Performance & Capability

The 1.8L EcoBoost engine produces a healthy 190 hp, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 8.5 seconds. This performance is well-suited for merging into fast-flowing highway traffic, supported by four selectable drive modes—Normal, Eco, Sport, and Mountain—to optimize the front-wheel-drive system for different road conditions. A 190 mm ground clearance allows for confident handling of speed humps and gravel tracks common in suburban developments.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a 12.0-inch HD portrait touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring seamless connectivity. For the GCC summer, the Trend trim's dual-zone climate control and dedicated rear AC vents provide efficient cooling for all five passengers. The 448-litre boot is deep and wide, expanding significantly to 1,422 litres with the 60/40 split rear seats folded flat for larger shopping trips or family gear.

Safety

Standard safety on the Trend trim includes six airbags—front, side, and curtain—providing comprehensive protection for the family. It features essential ADAS tech for GCC highways, such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are invaluable in multi-lane traffic. Additional systems like Hill Launch Assist and Electronic Stability Control ensure the vehicle remains composed during sudden maneuvers or on inclines.

The bottom line

Perfect for the modern GCC family or professional, this Territory Trend offers a high-tech interior and proven turbocharged efficiency at a point in its life where it remains under a strong service and parts ecosystem.
