Summary

This 2024 Haval H6 Medium offers an exceptional balance of modern SUV technology and practical utility for the GCC driver. With its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and a unique manual transmission configuration, it provides a more engaging and controlled driving experience rarely found in this segment. The white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the region, providing excellent heat reflection and long-term value retention. This model stands out by offering premium-tier safety features and interior space that rival much more expensive competitors. For those seeking a near-new crossover with a focus on driver involvement and family practicality, this listing represents a distinct opportunity in the local market.

This Car vs Other 2024 Haval H6s

With just over 65,000 km in its first year, this H6 has been utilized primarily for the long-distance highway commutes typical of GCC life. While this mileage is slightly above the regional average for a one-year-old vehicle, it highlights the car's mechanical reliability in extreme heat. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring the highest possible resale appeal and better cabin temperature management during summer.

MEDIUM vs Lower Trims

The Medium trim is the sweet spot for GCC buyers, adding essential comfort features over the base Active model. It typically upgrades the cabin experience with a more advanced infotainment interface and improved driver assistance systems. While retaining the rugged 2.0T powertrain, the Medium trim introduces better interior materials and alloy wheels that significantly enhance the vehicle's curb appeal compared to entry-level variants.

Haval H6 vs Segment Rivals

The Haval H6 competes directly with the Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson, leading the segment in pure value-for-money tech. It offers a larger 600-litre boot capacity than many rivals, making it superior for family weekend trips to the desert or cross-border travel. Its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine provides more torque for highway overtaking than the naturally aspirated base engines found in its Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine averages between 7.4L and 9.4L/100km, depending on your split between city traffic and open highway cruising. Maintenance is streamlined through an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and KSA, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. Haval has shown strong value retention in the GCC, depreciating at a rate comparable to established Korean brands while benefiting from a growing secondary market demand.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers 201 hp and 320 Nm of torque, providing effortless acceleration for Dubai's fast-moving multi-lane highways. This specific manual transmission model offers a rare level of mechanical connection, allowing the driver to fully exploit the turbo's power band. With a 170mm ground clearance and front-wheel-drive efficiency, it handles urban speed bumps and graded gravel roads with equal composure.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the H6 is designed for the five-passenger family, featuring a flat rear floor that provides class-leading legroom. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the GCC climate, often featuring rear-seat vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during peak summer. The 600-litre boot expands significantly with flat-folding rear seats, easily accommodating bulky gear for family road trips.

Safety

Safety is a primary pillar for the H6, which carries a maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating. This trim includes essential electronic stability controls and a high-strength steel body structure designed to protect occupants in high-speed highway scenarios. Standard safety tech often includes rear parking sensors and a high-definition camera system, providing confidence when navigating tight city parking spots.

The bottom line

This 2024 Haval H6 is the ideal choice for a savvy GCC buyer who wants a nearly new, high-tech SUV without the premium price tag of a Japanese rival.
