Summary

This 2024 Infiniti QX55 ESSENTIAL represents a sophisticated opportunity to own a nearly-new luxury crossover that blends dramatic coupe-inspired styling with the practicality of an SUV. With incredibly low mileage relative to the GCC annual average, this vehicle offers the mechanical freshness of a showroom model while avoiding the initial steep depreciation of a brand-new purchase. The grey exterior is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and wider GCC market, ensuring strong resale liquidity and a modern aesthetic that masks road dust effectively. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle the region's demanding climate, featuring a cooling system and interior materials designed for high-temperature durability. Compared to its competitors, the QX55 stands out for its bold design and generous standard feature list that often requires expensive packages on European rivals. For a buyer looking for a stylish executive commuter that balances performance with everyday usability, this specific listing is one of the most competitive options currently available in the regional market.

This Car vs Other 2024 QX55s

In the context of the GCC used car market, where the average annual mileage typically ranges between 20,000 and 25,000 km, this vehicle’s odometer reading of just 17,628 km is exceptionally low for a 2024 model. This indicates the car has been driven sparingly, likely used as a secondary vehicle or for short urban commutes, which preserves the engine and transmission longevity significantly. The grey exterior is a strategic choice for the region, as it is among the top three colors for resale value in the UAE, alongside white and silver. Buyers of this specific unit are essentially getting a vehicle in its prime operational window with the balance of the factory warranty and service history intact. Choosing this low-mileage example over others with higher usage ensures that major service intervals remain far on the horizon, providing a more predictable and lower-cost ownership experience in the immediate future. Mechanically, the car remains as tight as it was on the day it left the showroom, offering a like-new driving sensation that higher-mileage 2024 models cannot match.

ESSENTIAL vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the ESSENTIAL trim provides a significant leap in both luxury and functional technology that GCC buyers find indispensable. While base trims offer the fundamental Infiniti experience, the ESSENTIAL grade introduces the premium Bose Performance Series audio system, which is a major upgrade for those who value high-fidelity sound during long highway drives between Emirates. You also benefit from the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, a 360-degree camera system that makes parking in tight Dubai or Riyadh mall spaces effortless compared to the standard rear-view setup. This trim also includes genuine leather-appointed seating and advanced climate control features that are better suited for the harsh local summers than the synthetic materials found in lower tiers. Additionally, the ESSENTIAL trim often includes memory seat functions and synchronized side mirrors, which are highly convenient for families where multiple drivers share the car. By choosing this trim, you are securing the features that hold the most value at the point of resale, as second-hand buyers in the premium segment specifically look for these high-tech additions.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

The Infiniti QX55 competes in the crowded luxury crossover coupe segment against rivals like the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. Where the Infiniti leads is in its value-to-feature ratio; it provides a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems as standard, whereas European competitors often list these as expensive optional extras. For the GCC driver, the QX55 offers a unique VC-Turbo engine that balances power with efficiency better than many entry-level engines from rivals, providing smooth acceleration for highway overtaking. The cabin design is also more driver-centric, featuring a dual-screen infotainment setup that allows for simultaneous navigation and media control, a feature often missing in more minimalist European interiors. Furthermore, the QX55 provides a more generous cargo area than many of its fastback rivals, making it more practical for weekend trips to the desert or long-distance family travel. The air conditioning system in the Infiniti is also notoriously robust, specifically engineered to reach cabin-wide cooling temperatures faster than many of its German counterparts during peak summer months.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs for the QX55 are highly competitive within the luxury segment, particularly due to the 2.0L VC-Turbo engine which optimizes fuel consumption based on driving style. In GCC stop-start city traffic, the engine adjusts its compression ratio for better fuel economy, while on long stretches of the E11 highway, it shifts for better performance, averaging a respectable combined fuel consumption. Servicing is straightforward across the region, with an extensive network of authorized Infiniti service centers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are always readily available and technicians are factory-trained. As a GCC-spec model, this vehicle maintains a much higher resale value than imported American or European specs, which often face challenges with warranty coverage and local parts compatibility. Historically, the QX55 follows a predictable depreciation curve of approximately 12-15% annually, but low-mileage examples like this one tend to sit at the lower end of that range. By the three-year mark, this car is expected to retain a substantial portion of its original value, making it a sound financial choice for those who plan to upgrade in a few years.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood lies the world's first mass-produced Variable Compression Turbo engine, delivering 268 horsepower that feels urgent and responsive. This technology is particularly useful for GCC drivers who need immediate power for merging onto fast-moving highways or overtaking slower traffic on long desert roads. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, providing a seamless flow of power that enhances the luxury feel of the drive. With its Front Wheel Drive configuration, the QX55 offers a lighter, more agile handling profile that is perfect for urban navigation while maintaining excellent stability at high speeds. The car features multiple drive modes, allowing you to sharpen the throttle response for spirited driving or soften it for a more relaxed, fuel-efficient cruise. Despite its sporty coupe silhouette, the ground clearance is sufficient for navigating speed bumps and uneven gravel roads often found in developing residential areas. It is a vehicle designed for the modern metropolitan lifestyle, offering the performance of a sports sedan with the commanding view of an SUV.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the QX55 ESSENTIAL is a sanctuary of comfort, featuring a 4-seat configuration that prioritizes individual space and luxury for every passenger. The cabin is insulated with active noise cancellation technology, ensuring a quiet environment even at high highway speeds across the UAE. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, featuring dual-zone automatic climate control that can combat the most extreme 45°C summer days with ease. The leather-appointed seats are ergonomically designed for long-distance comfort, making the drive from Dubai to Muscat or Abu Dhabi to Al Ain feel effortless. The dual-touchscreen infotainment system keeps you connected, while the premium Bose audio system provides a concert-like experience inside the car. High-quality materials are used throughout the touchpoints, from the soft-touch dashboard to the leather-wrapped steering wheel, reinforcing the premium nature of the ESSENTIAL trim. Sunlight is managed effectively with high-grade glass that minimizes heat soak, keeping the interior cool even when parked outside.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the QX55 ESSENTIAL, which comes equipped with the ProPILOT Assist suite of technologies. This includes Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist, which are transformative for long-distance drives on GCC highways, reducing driver fatigue by maintaining lane position and distance from the car ahead. The Blind Spot Warning and Intervention systems are particularly critical for the region's multi-lane highway environment, providing an extra layer of protection during high-speed lane changes. Predictive Forward Collision Warning can see two cars ahead, giving you more reaction time in sudden traffic slowdowns. The vehicle also features Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Backup Collision Intervention, which are invaluable when reversing out of busy parking spots. Combined with its 5-Star safety rating and a robust array of airbags, this Infiniti offers comprehensive peace of mind for both the driver and their passengers in all driving conditions.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 2024 Infiniti QX55 ESSENTIAL is the perfect match for a professional or a small family looking for a high-style, low-mileage luxury crossover that is still under the peak of its factory freshness. With its premium grey finish and the highest non-sport trim level, it offers a level of refinement and technological sophistication that represents an outstanding value in the current UAE used car market.
