Summary

This 2024 Infiniti QX55 in the ESSENTIAL trim represents a rare opportunity to own a nearly-new luxury crossover that has barely finished its break-in period. With mileage significantly below the average for a vehicle of this age in the GCC, it offers the peace of mind of a showroom-fresh car with the value of a pre-owned purchase. The black exterior is not only a timeless aesthetic choice but also one of the most resilient colors for resale value across the UAE and wider GCC markets. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the region’s demanding climate, featuring a cooling system and air conditioning package designed specifically for local heat. The QX55 stands out from traditional SUVs with its sleek, coupe-inspired silhouette, offering a more aggressive stance than the BMW X4 or Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. For the discerning buyer in the Emirates, this listing combines the latest in Japanese engineering with the prestige of a premium brand, making it an ideal choice for urban commuting and stylish highway cruising alike. Owning a GCC-spec Infiniti ensures you have seamless access to a robust service network and full warranty support across all major cities in the region.

This Car vs Other 2024 QX55s

When compared to other 2024 QX55 models currently available in the GCC market, this vehicle stands out primarily due to its exceptionally low mileage of just 1713 km. While the average annual mileage for a vehicle in this region typically ranges between 20,000 and 25,000 km, this car has seen minimal use, effectively making it a new car in all but the title. Most 2024 models on the market are either dealer demonstrators with more distance or daily drivers that have already begun their first major service cycles. The black exterior is a high-demand color in the secondary market, often commanding a quicker sale and better price retention than more niche shades. Choosing a vehicle with such low usage means the interior materials, mechanical components, and paintwork remain in pristine, factory-original condition. This specific unit provides a significant head start on the long-term ownership curve, as it has avoided the typical wear and tear associated with the first year of driving in the UAE’s high-traffic environments.

ESSENTIAL vs Lower Trims

The ESSENTIAL trim is a significant leap forward from the base LUXE model, specifically targeting the comfort and technology features that GCC buyers value most. One of the most critical upgrades is the inclusion of the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, which makes navigating tight parking spots in Dubai or Abu Dhabi significantly easier. Inside, the ESSENTIAL trim introduces climate-controlled front seats, a feature that is practically a necessity during the intense summer months in the Middle East. You also gain the Bose Performance Series 16-speaker audio system, which provides a level of acoustic clarity that the standard system cannot match. Furthermore, this trim includes a heated steering wheel and memory seat functions, adding a layer of daily convenience for multiple drivers. By opting for the ESSENTIAL trim, you are also securing a more comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies that are often optional on lower-tier models, ensuring higher desirability when it comes time to trade in or sell the vehicle.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

In the competitive world of luxury coupe-SUVs, the QX55 holds its own against stalwarts like the BMW X4 and the Audi Q5 Sportback. Where the Infiniti takes the lead is in its unique combination of avant-garde design and standard equipment levels; often, European rivals require expensive optional packages to match the features found standard in this ESSENTIAL trim. The QX55 also offers a more generous fuel tank capacity than many in its class, which is a major advantage for long-distance highway drives between Dubai and Riyadh or Muscat. While rivals focus heavily on firm, sporty suspensions, the Infiniti is tuned for a balance of composure and comfort, making it better suited for the diverse road surfaces found across the GCC. Additionally, the interior ergonomics are designed with a focus on the driver’s reach and visibility, providing a more intuitive experience than some of the more complex digital interfaces found in newer German competitors. The maintenance costs and parts availability for Infiniti in the region also tend to be more favorable than those for European boutique brands.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L engine in the QX55 is designed for efficiency without sacrificing the punch needed for highway overtaking. In real-world GCC conditions, you can expect highly competitive fuel consumption figures, especially during steady-state cruising on the E11 or E311 highways. Because this is a GCC-spec vehicle, it uses filters and fluids specifically rated for the high dust and heat levels of the Arabian Peninsula, which helps maintain mechanical longevity. Service intervals are standardized and well-supported by authorized service centers located throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that keeping the car in top condition is never a logistical challenge. Infiniti enjoys a strong reputation for reliability in the Middle East, which translates to a slower depreciation curve compared to some of its European counterparts. At the three-year mark, a well-maintained QX55 typically retains a higher percentage of its original value than many other luxury crossovers in the same price bracket. This makes it not just a stylish choice, but a financially sensible one for those who plan to upgrade in a few years.

Performance & Capability

The heart of the QX55 is its innovative 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which utilizes variable compression technology to optimize either power or efficiency depending on your driving style. This allows for smooth, effortless acceleration that is particularly noticeable when merging into fast-moving traffic on multi-lane highways. The automatic transmission is tuned for seamless shifts, providing a refined experience whether you are in stop-start city traffic in Downtown Dubai or cruising at the speed limit across the desert. While this model is configured with Front Wheel Drive, it maintains excellent stability and grip on paved surfaces, which are the primary terrain for this style of luxury crossover. The 0-100 km/h performance is brisk enough to feel sporty, while the braking system is robust and responsive for safety in all conditions. Ground clearance is ample for navigating speed bumps and occasional gravel tracks, making it a versatile companion for weekend getaways to the Northern Emirates. The overall driving dynamics emphasize a quiet, isolated cabin experience that makes even the longest cross-country journeys feel short.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the QX55 ESSENTIAL is a sanctuary of premium materials and thoughtful design. With a focus on a four-passenger layout, every occupant enjoys a sense of individual space and luxury that is rare in smaller crossovers. The leather-appointed seating is ergonomically designed to provide support during long drives, while the dual-zone automatic climate control system is powerful enough to drop the cabin temperature rapidly even after the car has been parked in the direct sun. The integration of high-quality cabin insulation ensures that road and wind noise are kept to a minimum, allowing the Bose audio system to truly shine. For the driver, the dual-screen infotainment system puts navigation and media controls within easy reach without cluttering the dashboard. The sunroof adds an airy feel to the interior, perfect for evening drives when the weather cools down. Despite its coupe-like roofline, the boot space remains practical for grocery runs or luggage for a weekend trip, proving that style doesn't have to come at the expense of utility.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the Infiniti brand, and the QX55 ESSENTIAL comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active and passive systems. The Predictive Forward Collision Warning is particularly useful in the GCC, as it can monitor the vehicle two cars ahead, giving you extra reaction time during sudden highway slowdowns. Blind Spot Intervention and Lane Departure Prevention are standard, providing essential layers of protection on the busy, high-speed roads of the region. The car also features Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which is invaluable when reversing out of tight parking spaces in crowded malls. Multiple airbags and a reinforced chassis design ensure that all occupants are well-protected in the event of an unavoidable collision. These systems work harmoniously in the background, providing a safety net that allows you to drive with total confidence. Unlike many competitors that charge extra for these advanced driver aids, Infiniti includes them as part of the standard ESSENTIAL package, highlighting the brand’s commitment to passenger security.

The bottom line

This nearly-new 2024 Infiniti QX55 is the perfect match for a style-conscious professional or a small family looking for a premium GCC-spec crossover with the peace of mind of ultra-low mileage. It offers a sophisticated alternative to the usual European options, combining head-turning design with the proven reliability and strong resale value of a top-tier Japanese luxury brand.
