Summary

This 2024 Jetour T2 PHEV Mountain represents a strategic buy in the GCC used market, offering near-new 19,200 km mileage that is well below the 40,000–50,000 km typically seen for a two-year-old vehicle in this region. Finished in Black, it carries the strongest resale color for rugged SUVs in the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring high demand when it is time to trade up. As the top-tier PHEV Mountain trim, it bridges the gap between urban efficiency and genuine adventure capability, outclassing base petrol models with its massive 610 Nm of torque. The single most important consideration for a local buyer is the ability to handle a 100 km+ round-trip commute on pure electricity, while the large 70-litre tank provides total peace of mind for weekend cross-border trips.

This Car vs Other 2024 T2s

With 19,200 km on the odometer, this T2 has been driven significantly less than the 20,000 km annual average expected for SUVs in the UAE. While many 2024 models on the market are standard petrol variants, this PHEV version offers a major fuel-saving advantage for city traffic. The Black exterior is a high-value asset in the GCC market, typically holding its value better than more adventurous color options at resale.

PHEV MOUNTAIN vs Lower Trims

The Mountain trim is the flagship of the T2 hybrid lineup, adding essential GCC comfort features like ventilated front seats and a 12-speaker Sony premium audio system that are absent on base trims. It upgrades the cabin tech with a massive 15.6-inch display powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chip and adds a 540-degree panoramic camera system with a transparent chassis view. The 4WD system on this trim provides electronic torque distribution, offering better stability on sand and gravel compared to the FWD-only hybrid variants.

T2 vs Segment Rivals

The Jetour T2 leads the GWM Tank 300 in cabin technology and screen real estate, offering a more modern, 'tech-forward' interior for daily commuting. While rivals like the BYD Leopard 5 focus on raw horsepower, the T2 PHEV excels in total combined range, offering 1,300 km (CLTC) to make long desert highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh stress-free. Its monocoque construction provides a smoother, car-like ride quality on paved UAE highways compared to traditional body-on-frame competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The T2 PHEV offers exceptional efficiency in GCC stop-start traffic, with real-world fuel consumption averaging 6.0–6.9 L/100km when utilizing the hybrid system, significantly lower than the 10-12 L/100km seen in pure petrol rivals. As a Chinese spec vehicle, buyers should confirm service compatibility with local authorized centers, though Jetour's growing network in the UAE and Saudi Arabia provides increasing support for the T-series. Depreciation for the T2 has stabilized well in the UAE due to high demand for its rugged aesthetic, typically retaining better value than standard Chinese crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The PHEV powertrain delivers a combined 610 Nm of torque, providing instant electric thrust that is perfect for overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. It features a 220 mm ground clearance and specialized driving modes including Snow, Mud, and Sand, making it highly capable for weekend trips to Al Qudra or the Moreeb Dune. The 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) ensures smooth power delivery at both low-speed urban crawling and high-speed highway cruising up to its 197 km/h top speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is purpose-built for the GCC climate, featuring powerful air conditioning and standard ventilated front seats to combat summer heat. The 5-seater layout offers generous legroom and a panoramic sunroof that adds a sense of space, while premium acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from highway wind noise. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing you to power camping equipment or refrigerators directly from the vehicle's battery during desert stays.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a full Level 2 ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning which are essential for safety on long desert hauls. The safety package includes 6 SRS airbags, Blind Spot Monitoring for multi-lane highway traffic, and a high-strength steel body structure. The 540-degree camera system provides a transparent view of the ground beneath the car, a critical safety feature when navigating rocky terrain or tight urban parking spots.

The bottom line

For the UAE buyer looking for the rugged look of a Defender with the fuel costs of a compact sedan, this low-mileage T2 PHEV Mountain is the ideal dual-purpose SUV. Its combination of 208 km electric range and a premium Sony-equipped cabin makes it a standout choice for both the daily office run and weekend desert escapes.
