Summary

This 2024 Jetour X70 Plus COM offers a modern, tech-forward entry into the 7-seater SUV segment, perfect for growing families in the GCC. With a vehicle age of 2 years and mileage that reflects consistent use, it stands out with its bold black exterior—a high-demand resale color in the regional market. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is engineered with a cooling system specifically designed for extreme summer temperatures, ensuring passenger comfort even during the hottest months. This specific trim provides the essential 7-seat versatility and digital cabin experience that modern buyers prioritize, while offering a more accessible entry point than the Luxury trim. It represents a practical choice for those who need space and style without the premium depreciation of older European rivals.

This Car vs Other 2024 X70 Pluses

At 34,616 km, this vehicle's mileage is slightly above the typical annual average for a 2-year-old car in the GCC, which usually falls between 20,000 and 25,000 km per year. However, this level of use indicates a vehicle that has been regularly driven on highways, often preferred for maintaining engine health in this region. The black exterior is a primary resale color in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets, ensuring stronger value retention when it comes time to trade in.

COM vs Lower Trims

The COM trim serves as a significant upgrade over the standard X70 variants, adding essential tech that GCC buyers look for, such as the 360-degree parking camera and a more refined digital cockpit. While it retains the efficient 1.5L turbocharged engine found in standard trims, it adds the premium look of 18-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels (depending on production batch) and enhanced synthetic leather interior materials that better withstand the local heat compared to base fabric options.

X70 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The Jetour X70 Plus competes directly with the Mitsubishi Outlander and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, leading the segment in digital screen real estate and modern interior design. Its 2,720 mm wheelbase provides superior second-row legroom for long inter-city drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi compared to more compact 5+2 rivals. The standard inclusion of a high-definition 360-degree camera gives it a distinct advantage in tight urban parking scenarios where rivals often only offer rear sensors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5L turbo engine averages approximately 7.5 to 8.2 L/100km, making it highly efficient for daily commuting in stop-start traffic across major GCC cities. Jetour has rapidly expanded its authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts availability and reliable maintenance. The model typically sees a depreciation rate of approximately 12-15% annually in the local market, benefiting from a 77% value retention rate at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, this SUV produces a reliable 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, optimized for smooth highway cruising. While it features an automatic transmission and 4WD capability, it is primarily road-biased, offering comfortable handling for family road trips across the emirates. The 210 mm ground clearance is ample for navigating gravel tracks and sandy patches during weekend getaways to the outskirts of the city.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a seven-seat layout with dedicated rear air conditioning vents, a critical feature for passenger comfort in the GCC climate. Acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from outside road noise and summer heat, while the 12.3-inch dual-screen setup brings a high-end feel to the dashboard. The seats are finished in a durable synthetic leather that is easy to maintain, even with frequent family use and long-distance travel.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite featuring 4 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Traction Control to ensure stability on varying road surfaces. Advanced driver aids such as Lane Departure Warning and a 360-degree camera system provide extra security during fast-moving highway traffic. Additionally, the inclusion of Hill Start Assist and Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPMS) offers peace of mind for drivers tackling long desert highway stretches.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a stylish, 2-year-old 7-seater with modern digital tech and a strong resale color, this GCC-spec X70 Plus is a smart, value-driven opportunity.
