Summary

The 2024 Jetour X90 Plus in its top-tier LUXURY trim represents a sophisticated entry into the large family SUV segment, offering a level of interior refinement that punches well above its price bracket. This specific vehicle is finished in professional Black, which remains a high-demand color for resale in the GCC market due to its executive presence and timeless appeal. With a powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine, it provides significantly more effortless highway overtaking than the smaller 1.6L variants commonly found in this segment. For a 2024 model, it is an ideal choice for buyers who need the utility of seven seats without the massive footprint of a traditional truck-based SUV. Its primary advantage lies in the combination of a GCC-specific cooling system and a tech-heavy cabin that rivals premium European marques. This listing is particularly attractive for those looking to bypass the initial steep depreciation of a brand-new vehicle while still enjoying the latest 2024-model-year features. In the UAE and wider GCC context, the Jetour X90 Plus has quickly established itself as the go-to choice for families who prioritize modern aesthetics and cabin technology over brand heritage.

This Car vs Other 2024 Jetour X90 Pluss

When comparing this 2024 Jetour X90 Plus to other units on the market, the primary differentiator is the mileage relative to its age. With 88,677 km on the odometer, this vehicle has clearly been utilized for long-distance regional travel, likely between major hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi or across the Northern Emirates. In the GCC, such highway mileage is often considered gentler on the transmission and cooling system than lower-mileage vehicles that have spent their lives in grueling stop-start city traffic. The exterior Black finish is a significant asset here, as it is one of the top three colors for value retention in the UAE, ensuring it remains desirable when you eventually decide to trade it in. While the mileage is higher than the average for a single year of ownership, it reflects a vehicle that has been consistently run and maintained, rather than sitting idle in the heat. Buyers can benefit from a more competitive entry price compared to 'delivery-mileage' examples while still getting the most current 2024 body style and updated infotainment software.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

Choosing the LUXURY trim over the standard or Comfort variants fundamentally changes the daily driving experience in the GCC. This top-spec model includes the 2.0L engine which provides a necessary power surplus for fully-loaded family trips, a feature missing in the base models. Inside, the LUXURY trim upgrades the cabin with superior soft-touch materials and an enhanced ambient lighting system that creates a premium nighttime atmosphere on long desert drives. Crucially for our climate, this trim often features upgraded seat ventilation and a more robust multi-zone climate control system that ensures the third-row passengers remain as comfortable as those in the front. You also benefit from the full 360-degree high-definition camera system, which is indispensable for parking a vehicle of this size in tight mall parking structures across the UAE. The addition of a premium sound system and a panoramic sunroof further separates this LUXURY edition from the more basic iterations, providing a genuine sense of occasion every time you get behind the wheel.

Jetour X90 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The Jetour X90 Plus competes in a crowded segment against rivals like the Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe, and the Changan CS95. Where the Jetour leads is in its incredible value-to-feature ratio, offering a more contemporary dual-screen dashboard layout that feels a generation ahead of some established Japanese and Korean competitors. Its wheelbase is specifically designed to maximize middle-row legroom, which often exceeds that of the Sorento, making it a better choice for families with growing teenagers. The 2.0L turbocharged engine is tuned for smooth torque delivery, making it feel more responsive on the fast-moving highways of the GCC compared to the naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines found in base-level rivals. Furthermore, the Jetour's cooling package is engineered specifically for high-ambient-temperature markets, often outperforming older designs from rival brands during the peak of the UAE summer. It offers the physical footprint of a luxury cruiser at a significantly more accessible price point than a Toyota Highlander or a Honda Pilot.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a Jetour X90 Plus in the GCC is characterized by predictable maintenance and efficient performance for a seven-seater. The 2.0L petrol engine is designed to run efficiently on local fuel grades, returning impressive highway economy during long-distance trips between Emirates. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and Jetour’s rapidly expanding service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures that parts and expert technicians are readily available. While Chinese brands historically faced steeper depreciation than Japanese icons, the Jetour X90 Plus is proving to be an exception, holding its value well due to high demand in the secondary market for affordable family transport. You can expect a depreciation rate of approximately 15-18% in the first few years, which is highly competitive for the luxury SUV segment. The fact that this is a GCC-spec vehicle is a massive advantage for resale, as it guarantees the car is equipped with the necessary tropicalized radiator and AC compressor required by local buyers.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which provides a robust power output that makes light work of the Jetour X90 Plus's substantial size. Acceleration is smooth and linear, allowing for confident merging onto 140 km/h highways without the engine feeling strained. As a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) vehicle, it is optimized for urban efficiency and highway stability rather than heavy off-roading, making it the perfect 'urban explorer' for families who stay on the tarmac or well-graded gravel paths. The automatic transmission is tuned for comfort, providing seamless shifts that minimize cabin vibration during long hauls. With a generous ground clearance, it easily handles high speed bumps and uneven road surfaces found in developing suburban areas. The steering is light and effortless, which, combined with the various drive modes, allows the driver to tailor the experience from a relaxed commute to a more spirited highway drive.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the Jetour X90 Plus LUXURY is a sanctuary designed specifically for the unique demands of GCC families. With seven seats, the interior layout is flexible; the second row offers impressive slide and recline functions, while the third row is perfectly suited for children or short trips for adults. The air conditioning system is a standout feature, featuring dedicated vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cabin cooling even after the car has been parked in the 45°C sun. High-quality synthetic leather upholstery is designed to be durable and easy to clean, resisting the wear and tear of family life. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels are remarkably low, thanks to extensive soundproofing that keeps the roar of highway wind and tire noise at bay. Technology is at the forefront, with a massive digital cockpit that integrates navigation, media, and vehicle settings into a crisp, easy-to-use interface that is visible even in direct sunlight.

Safety

Safety in the Jetour X90 Plus LUXURY is comprehensive, featuring a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that are particularly useful on the UAE's multi-lane highways. This includes Adaptive Cruise Control, which maintains a safe distance from the car ahead during the long commute between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and Lane Departure Warning to keep you centered. The vehicle is built on a high-strength steel cage and has earned a 5-Star NCAP safety rating, providing peace of mind for those carrying precious cargo. Multiple airbags, including side curtains that extend to the rear, ensure protection for all seven occupants. Blind Spot Monitoring is standard on this trim, an essential tool for navigating the fast-moving and often unpredictable traffic patterns found in major GCC cities. Additionally, the electronic stability program is calibrated to handle the sandy or dusty surfaces often encountered on regional roads.

The bottom line

This 2024 Jetour X90 Plus LUXURY is the definitive choice for a modern family needing maximum space and technology without the premium brand tax. It represents a smart buy for a practical driver who values the latest safety features and a high-spec interior in a vehicle that is already proven on GCC roads.
