Summary

This 2024 Jetour X90 Plus Luxury offers a compelling entry into the premium seven-seat SUV segment, combining modern Chinese engineering with a feature-rich cabin. Despite the higher mileage, it represents a significant saving over new models while providing the same contemporary design and GCC-ready cooling performance. The white exterior is the highest-demand resale color in the region, ensuring better value retention when it is time to upgrade. As the Luxury trim, it bridges the gap between a family hauler and a premium executive SUV with features typically reserved for much more expensive rivals. For a GCC buyer, the combination of a turbocharged 200hp engine and comprehensive local service support makes this a practical daily driver.

This Car vs Other 2024 X90 Pluss

With just over 102,000 km, this vehicle has been used more extensively than the typical 25,000 km annual average for GCC family SUVs, suggesting it has likely served as a long-distance commuter between emirates. The white exterior is a strategic advantage in the UAE market, as it reflects heat more efficiently than darker tones and remains the easiest color to resell. While the mileage is higher than average, the 2024 model year means the vehicle still benefits from the latest tech updates and interior refinements.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim is a significant step up from the base Comfort model, adding essential GCC comforts like ventilated front seats to combat summer heat. It also introduces a driver's seat memory function and a power tailgate, which are rare at this price point. Tech-wise, the Luxury trim provides the full 360-degree panoramic camera system, making this large SUV much easier to navigate in tight Dubai or Riyadh parking spaces.

X90 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X90 Plus competes with the Hyundai Santa Fe and Mitsubishi Outlander, standing out by offering significantly more screen real estate with its dual 12.3-inch displays. Its wheelbase of 2850 mm provides superior legroom in the second row compared to most compact seven-seaters in its price bracket. Additionally, the turbocharged 1.5L engine offers a more modern power delivery feel than the naturally aspirated units often found in Japanese and Korean entry-level rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption is rated at a combined 8.1 L/100km, though expect slightly higher figures in stop-start traffic across major GCC cities. Jetour has rapidly expanded its authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. While Chinese brands typically face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese stalwarts, the X90 Plus holds its value better than smaller crossovers due to the high demand for seven-seat family vehicles in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The 200hp turbocharged engine is tuned for smooth highway cruising, providing enough torque for confident overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. Its four-wheel-drive system offers added stability during sudden rainstorms or on loose gravel tracks leading to weekend farm retreats. With a ground clearance of approximately 210 mm, it handles high speed bumps and minor off-road transitions with ease, though it remains primarily a road-focused family cruiser.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is defined by a 'starry sky' panoramic sunroof that brightens all three rows, paired with Nappa-style leather upholstery. The multi-zone climate control is specifically calibrated for the GCC, featuring dedicated rear vents to ensure passengers in the third row stay cool during July and August. A cooled center console provides a dedicated space to keep beverages chilled during long cross-country drives.

Safety

The Luxury trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Lane Departure Warning, which are vital for fast-paced multi-lane highway driving. Multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and a high-strength cage body provide peace of mind for family transport. The 360-degree camera system is complemented by front and rear parking sensors to ensure safety during low-speed maneuvers.

The bottom line

This 2024 X90 Plus is the ideal choice for a large family looking for maximum features and modern styling at a budget-friendly price point. It represents a smart opportunity to own a current-generation flagship SUV with a high-demand GCC specification.
