Summary

This 2024 Jetour X90 Plus Luxury offers an impressive balance of modern tech and family-oriented space in a striking Purple finish. With its GCC specification, this SUV is fully equipped for the local climate, featuring essential cabin cooling systems that maintain comfort during the peak of summer. The Luxury trim is a significant step up, providing premium touches that hold their value well in the competitive UAE market. Its combination of a punchy 1.6T engine and a spacious five-seat layout makes it a versatile daily driver for both city commutes and long highway trips between Emirates. For a 2024 model, this vehicle presents a modern aesthetic and feature set that rivals more established brands at a much more accessible price point.

This Car vs Other 2024 X90 Pluss

With 78,388 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, suggesting it was primarily used for long-distance highway travel. The Purple exterior is a distinctive choice that stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, appealing to buyers looking for a unique aesthetic. Its GCC spec status is a major advantage for resale, ensuring full compatibility with local service centers and regional warranties.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim adds several high-demand features that are often optional or missing on lower variants, most notably the ventilated front seats which are a necessity for GCC summers. It also upgrades the cabin tech with a full 360° panoramic camera system and a larger digital cockpit display. These additions, along with the standard panoramic sunroof and Nappa-style leather upholstery, significantly enhance the car's premium feel and long-term resale appeal.

X90 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X90 Plus competes directly with rivals like the Haval H6 and Changan CS95, leading the segment in terms of pure screen real estate and digital integration. While many competitors offer smaller infotainment units, the Jetour's dual 12.3-inch display setup provides a more futuristic interface. Additionally, its 1.6T engine is tuned for a higher output than many entry-level engines in this class, offering 197 hp for easier highway overtaking.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.6T engine typically averages around 8.3 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC stop-start traffic may see this rise. Service intervals are standardized at every 10,000 km or 6 months, and Jetour has rapidly expanded its authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia to ensure parts availability. While Chinese brands generally face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the X90 Plus has shown resilient value retention due to its popularity as a feature-rich family SUV.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6-litre turbocharged GDI engine delivers a responsive 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). This powertrain is specifically engineered for efficiency on long desert highways, providing enough torque for a full cabin without feeling strained. The four-wheel-drive system offers added stability during sudden rain or on gravel tracks, making it a capable companion for family weekend trips to the outskirts of the city.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout feature, headlined by the ventilated front seats and a powerful multi-zone climate control system designed for temperatures exceeding 45°C. The five-seat configuration ensures massive legroom for rear passengers and a generous boot capacity for large grocery hauls or luggage. Dual 12.3-inch screens dominate the dashboard, providing seamless connectivity and a clear view of the 360° camera system during tight parking maneuvers.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the Luxury trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Forward Collision Warning. Passive safety is handled by multiple airbags and a high-strength steel cage construction. Features like the 360° camera and Hill Start Assist are particularly useful for navigating the multi-lane highways and steep parking ramps common in Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This 2024 X90 Plus Luxury is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family looking for maximum features and GCC-ready comfort at a value-driven price point.
