Summary

This 2024 Kia Sportage EX offers an exceptional balance of modern technology and daily practicality, arriving with just delivery mileage. The EX trim provides a significant jump in cabin quality over the base model, featuring synthetic leather upholstery and a high-resolution 12.3-inch screen that anchors the futuristic dashboard. As a GCC-spec vehicle in a high-resale white finish, it represents a safe long-term investment for families and commuters alike. Its 1.6-litre powertrain is tuned for efficiency, making it one of the most cost-effective crossovers to run in busy city traffic or on extended highway trips between emirates. With Kia’s vast service footprint across the region, maintenance remains straightforward and accessible throughout the vehicle's life.

This Car vs Other 2024 Sportages

With just 1 km on the odometer, this Sportage is effectively a new vehicle, offering a significant advantage over typical first-year used examples that often reach 20,000 km in the GCC. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring both better heat management during summer and the strongest possible resale demand. Choosing this delivery-mileage example allows you to benefit from a 'like-new' mechanical state while bypassing the initial drive-away depreciation.

EX vs Lower Trims

The EX trim elevates the Sportage experience significantly beyond the LX, most notably through the upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation and a wireless phone charger. Inside, you benefit from dual-zone automatic climate control and premium synthetic leather seats, which are far better suited to the local climate than the base cloth. Additionally, the EX adds essential driver aids like Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance and 18-inch machined-finish alloy wheels for a more premium road presence.

Sportage vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson, the Sportage leads with its bold, futuristic interior design and superior cargo capacity of 591 litres. While rivals focus on traditional layouts, the Kia provides a more tech-centric cockpit that feels a generation ahead. It also benefits from one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks in the GCC, ensuring parts and expert technicians are available from Abu Dhabi to Muscat.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.6-litre MPI engine is designed for fuel economy, typically averaging between 7.5 to 8.5 L/100km depending on driving conditions, which is ideal for the GCC's mix of stop-start city traffic and long-range cruising. Kia models in the UAE and wider region enjoy strong value retention, historically holding approximately 65-70% of their value after three years. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months, supported by extensive authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Performance & Capability

The 132 hp powertrain provides a smooth and composed driving experience tailored for urban efficiency and comfortable highway cruising. With a front-wheel-drive setup and a refined automatic transmission, it handles daily commutes with ease while offering enough ground clearance to manage gravel tracks and speed humps comfortably. The Sportage is tuned for a balance of ride comfort and stability, making it a reliable companion for long family road trips across the emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a highlight of the 5th-generation Sportage, offering class-leading rear legroom of over 41 inches that ensures adult passengers stay comfortable on long drives. The dual-zone automatic climate control is highly effective against the GCC summer heat, supported by dedicated rear air vents to keep all five occupants cool. Acoustic insulation has been improved in this generation, significantly reducing road and wind noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on the EX trim, featuring an ADAS suite that includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. In the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic common in the GCC, the Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance and Rear Cross-Traffic Assist provide crucial extra layers of protection. Standard equipment also includes a suite of front and side airbags, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors to ensure peace of mind in every driving scenario.

The bottom line

This delivery-mileage Sportage EX is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, tech-heavy SUV with the highest resale potential and full GCC-spec peace of mind.
