Summary

This 2024 Lexus ES 350 Platinum represents the top-tier of executive sedan luxury, offering a refined V6 powertrain that rivals struggle to match for smoothness. With 80,000 km, this car has been driven consistently on GCC highways, where its white paint serves as a significant resale advantage by managing heat and retaining value. The Platinum trim adds exclusive amenities like a 12.3-inch display and premium leather that elevate the daily commute beyond the standard executive experience. For a buyer in the GCC, this model stands out for its legendary reliability and a cabin specifically designed to remain silent and cool during the peak of summer. It is a calculated purchase for someone seeking a prestigious daily driver that holds its worth better than almost any European competitor.

This Car vs Other 2024 ES350s

With 80,000 km on the odometer, this ES 350 has seen active use typical for a vehicle regularly commuting between major GCC hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. While higher than some weekend-only listings, this mileage reflects the car's mechanical capability for long-distance cruising, often preferred for its proven highway reliability. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the regional market, ensuring this specific unit will attract premium interest at resale.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim is a significant step up from the Prestige and Premier variants, most notably adding the 17-speaker Mark Levinson Surround Sound system and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation. GCC buyers will particularly value the standard 360-degree camera system for easier parking in tight urban spaces and the inclusion of triple-beam LED headlights. It also upgrades the interior with semi-aniline leather and a powered rear sunshade, essential for passenger comfort during the regional summer.

ES350 vs Segment Rivals

The ES 350 leads the mid-size luxury segment, such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series, by offering a naturally aspirated V6 that provides linear power without the complexity of European turbo systems. Its cabin insulation is specifically tuned for regional road noise, and the 60-litre fuel tank allows for substantial range on cross-emirate trips. Furthermore, the sheer size of the authorized service network for Lexus in the GCC gives it a clear maintenance advantage over almost all other luxury brands.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 9.2 L/100 km, though highway driving at steady speeds can see this figure improve significantly. Service intervals are strictly every 10,000 km or 6 months, and with Al Futtaim and other major authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, parts are readily available. The Lexus ES 350 Platinum typically sees a lower annual depreciation rate of around 10%, compared to 15-18% for its German counterparts, making it one of the safest financial investments in the luxury sedan market.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre V6 delivers a stout 302 hp, allowing for a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds, which is more than sufficient for confident highway overtaking. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness rather than aggressive shifts, perfectly suited for the long, straight highways of the GCC. With a top track speed of 211 km/h, the ES 350 maintains a composed and stable feel even at the higher speed limits found on regional motorways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a 5-seat layout with class-leading rear legroom, often cited by owners as comparable to much larger luxury flagships. Platinum models come standard with ventilated front seats, which are a non-negotiable requirement for GCC summers, and an air conditioning system widely regarded as the most powerful in its class. The 12.3-inch digital display is paired with a head-up display that keeps navigation data in the driver's line of sight, reducing distractions during high-speed travel.

Safety

This trim includes the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard, featuring a comprehensive suite of ADAS including Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Tracing Assist, and Road Sign Assist. For GCC highway driving, the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provide essential layers of safety in fast-moving, multi-lane traffic. The vehicle is also equipped with 10 airbags, ensuring maximum passive protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the executive who prioritizes effortless refinement and market-leading resale value, this 2024 ES 350 Platinum is a logical, high-spec choice in the region's favorite color.
