Summary

This 2024 LX600 Prestige represents the latest generation of the GCC's most trusted luxury SUV, offering a perfect balance of reliability and modern tech. The Silver exterior is one of the highest-demand colors for resale in the region, ensuring better value retention than bolder alternatives. Despite the high mileage for its age, these twin-turbo V6 powertrains are engineered for the heavy highway use common across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from a cooling system and air conditioning specifically optimized for 45°C+ summer peaks. It stands out from rivals like the Cadillac Escalade by offering genuine off-road hardware alongside its executive cabin.

This Car vs Other 2024 LX600s

While the mileage on this unit is significantly higher than the typical 25,000 km annual average for the GCC, it reflects a vehicle used primarily for long-distance highway cruising rather than stop-start city traffic. The Silver finish remains a top-tier choice for the local market, resisting heat absorption better than darker shades and maintaining a higher resale premium. Choosing a 2024 model provides the latest GA-F platform improvements and interior tech at a more accessible entry point compared to delivery-mileage units.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim serves as the entry point into the LX600 range but remains exceptionally well-equipped for the GCC market. It includes the 12.3-inch upper and 7-inch lower dual-screen interface as standard, which provides dedicated off-road telemetry and climate controls simultaneously. Unlike lower-spec alternatives in other markets, this GCC Prestige trim features ventilated front seats and a power-folding third row, essential for local luxury and family versatility.

LX600 vs Segment Rivals

The LX600 leads rivals like the Cadillac Escalade and Range Rover in the GCC thanks to its superior authorized service network, with parts and expertise available in every major city from Muscat to Kuwait City. Its 3.5L twin-turbo V6 offers a more efficient alternative to the Escalade's V8 while maintaining a higher 3,629 kg towing capacity than many unibody crossovers. For buyers who actually venture into the dunes, the LX's body-on-frame construction provides a level of durability that European rivals struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the LX600 typically averages around 12.7L/100km on a combined cycle, though highway cruising between Emirates can see this improve significantly. Service intervals are strictly every 10,000 km at authorized Lexus centers, which are arguably the most robust luxury network in the Middle East. Lexus models historically have the lowest depreciation rates in the luxury SUV segment, often retaining 80% of their value after three years in the GCC market. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it remains eligible for regional warranty extensions and service contracts.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers 650 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless overtaking on the E11 highway even with seven passengers on board. It achieves 0–100 km/h in a swift 6.9 seconds, a remarkable feat for a full-size SUV weighing over 2.6 tonnes. Capability is anchored by a full-time 4WD system and a 205 mm ground clearance, supported by a low-range transfer case for serious desert exploration. Selectable drive modes allow the driver to tailor the 10-speed automatic transmission for sand, rock, or highway efficiency.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a seven-seat layout with an executive focus, including triple-zone climate control to ensure rear passengers stay cool during the peak of summer. Genuine leather upholstery and ambient lighting create a refined atmosphere, while the 10-speaker premium audio system is standard on the Prestige trim. Large glass areas provide excellent visibility for city driving, and the acoustic glass helps insulate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

Safety is managed by the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist—vital for long desert drives. It comes equipped with 10 airbags as standard and a 360-degree camera system that makes parking this large SUV in tight Dubai or Riyadh malls effortless. Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring provide an extra layer of security during fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic.

The bottom line

For the frequent long-distance commuter or large family, this LX600 offers the best reliability-to-luxury ratio in the market, backed by a service network that no other brand can rival.
