Summary

This 2024 Lexus NX350 PREMIER represents a sophisticated choice for GCC drivers seeking a nearly new luxury crossover that balances performance with world-renowned reliability. While the mileage is slightly higher than a typical showroom queen, it remains well within the expected range for active UAE residents who commute between emirates, ensuring the mechanical components are properly cycled. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the local market, offering excellent heat reflection properties and maintaining strong resale appeal. This specific model stands out from rivals by offering a more engaging turbocharged driving experience without sacrificing the plush ride quality Lexus is famous for. As a late-model entry, it benefits from the latest tech updates, making it a future-proof investment for those prioritizing long-term ownership. In a region where durability is as important as status, this NX350 provides the perfect blend of both.

This Car vs Other 2024 NX350s

With 38,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000 km annual average found in many luxury listings, but this often means the car has spent its time on smooth, high-speed highways rather than in the punishing stop-and-go traffic of downtown Dubai. In the GCC context, highway miles are generally easier on the turbocharged engine and transmission compared to the heat-soak associated with short city trips. The Grey metallic finish is an intelligent choice for the region, as it masks the fine desert dust effectively and holds its luster better than darker pigments under the intense Arabian sun. Choosing this specific unit allows a buyer to secure a current-generation 2024 model at a more accessible entry point while still enjoying the full suite of modern Lexus refinements. The interior remains in pristine condition, reflecting the high build standards of the brand despite the active mileage. It represents a pragmatic path to owning a current-year luxury SUV that is already proven to handle the local climate.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The PREMIER trim serves as a significant upgrade over the base iterations, focusing on the technology and convenience features that GCC buyers value most during the long summer months. One of the most critical additions is the enhanced climate control system paired with ventilated front seats, which are essential for maintaining comfort when temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius. This trim also introduces a more sophisticated infotainment interface and a superior 360-degree camera system that makes navigating tight mall parking structures in Abu Dhabi or Riyadh significantly easier. Luxury is further elevated with upgraded upholstery materials and ambient lighting that transforms the cabin atmosphere during night drives. While lower trims might offer the same basic footprint, the PREMIER provides the acoustic glass and extra sound dampening that result in a much quieter highway experience. It is the trim level where the NX350 truly begins to feel like a premium executive vehicle rather than a standard crossover.

NX350 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to German rivals like the BMW X3 or Mercedes-Benz GLC, the NX350 offers a distinct advantage in terms of long-term mechanical simplicity and air conditioning performance, which is legendary in the Gulf region. While European competitors often focus on stiff handling, the Lexus is engineered to iron out road imperfections, providing a smoother journey on the long stretches between Dubai and Muscat. The 2.4L turbocharged engine provides a punchy 276 hp that rivals the mid-range offerings from Audi, but does so with a reputation for significantly higher reliability over a ten-year cycle. The cabin ergonomics are designed for ease of use, featuring physical controls for key functions that are often buried in touchscreens on rival models. Additionally, the Lexus ownership experience in the GCC is supported by a service infrastructure that is arguably the best in the region. For a family of five, the NX350 offers a balanced package of safety and prestige that is difficult for segment rivals to match at this price point.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus is the gold standard for resale value in the Middle East, consistently outperforming every European brand in the luxury segment with depreciation rates often hovering as low as 8-10% annually. This Canadian spec vehicle offers almost identical mechanical components to local versions, ensuring that parts like filters, brake pads, and sensors are readily available at any major service center across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Fuel consumption is competitive for an All-Wheel Drive SUV, with the 2.4L engine providing efficient cruising on 95 or 98 octane petrol, making it affordable for daily commuting. While a Canadian spec may not carry the same initial premium as a GCC spec at a dealership, the sheer popularity of the NX model ensures a deep pool of buyers when it comes time to sell. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and because Lexus shares a logistical backbone with Toyota, maintenance costs remain the lowest in the luxury category. The high demand for used Lexus SUVs in the Northern Emirates and neighboring countries provides a safety net for your investment.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this NX350 is a 276 hp turbocharged engine that delivers a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 7 seconds, providing plenty of confidence for merging onto fast-moving arterial roads like Sheikh Zayed Road. The All-Wheel Drive system is not just for snow; in the GCC, it provides crucial stability during the occasional heavy rainstorm or when traversing sandy patches that accumulate on desert bypass roads. With multiple drive modes including Sport and Eco, the transmission can be tailored to provide immediate throttle response or maximum fuel efficiency depending on the journey. The ground clearance is ample for clearing high curbs and navigating the graded gravel tracks often found near weekend getaway spots in Hatta or Ras Al Khaimah. Steering is light and precise, making the vehicle feel smaller and more agile than its SUV dimensions suggest. It is a capable grand tourer that feels just as comfortable at 140 km/h as it does crawling through congested city centers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of Japanese craftsmanship, featuring a 5-seat layout that offers generous headroom and legroom for adult passengers in both rows. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered to achieve rapid cooling even after the car has been parked in the direct sun, a feature that cannot be overstated in this region. High-quality materials cover every touchpoint, and the PREMIER trim ensures the latest connectivity options, including wireless smartphone integration to keep navigation apps within easy reach. Storage is plentiful, with a boot capacity that easily accommodates a full week of family groceries or several large suitcases for airport runs. Acoustic insulation is a high priority, effectively whispering away the wind noise that can become intrusive during high-speed highway travel. The seats are designed to prevent fatigue, offering multiple points of adjustment to ensure a perfect driving position for long-distance treks across the emirates.

Safety

Safety is a cornerstone of the Lexus brand, and this NX350 comes equipped with the comprehensive Safety System+ suite as standard. This includes adaptive cruise control, which is a life-saver for maintaining safe distances on long desert highways, and a lane-tracing assist that helps keep the vehicle centered during long drives. The 5-Star NCAP rating provides peace of mind for families, supported by a ring-structure frame and multiple airbags designed to protect occupants from every angle. Blind-spot monitoring is particularly useful in the UAE's multi-lane traffic environments, alerting the driver to fast-approaching vehicles in adjacent lanes. Furthermore, the pre-collision system with pedestrian detection adds an extra layer of security in busy urban areas. This trim level ensures that you don't have to pay extra for the most advanced protective technologies, as they are integrated directly into the vehicle's core operating systems.

The bottom line

This 2024 Lexus NX350 PREMIER is the ideal choice for a professional or a small family looking for a luxury SUV that offers the best resale value and reliability in the GCC. It represents a smart opportunity to own a nearly new, high-spec vehicle that is perfectly equipped to handle the local environment for years to come.
