Summary

This 2024 Mazda CX-3 GT is a standout choice in the compact crossover segment, combining premium interior finishes with an efficient 2.0L powertrain. With only 39,000 km, this vehicle has been used moderately relative to typical GCC highway driving patterns, preserving its mechanical longevity. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the UAE, ensuring strong resale liquidity and better heat management than darker tones. As a top-spec GT trim, it offers the full suite of Mazda’s refined cabin technology that rivals often leave as optional extras. For the GCC buyer, this represents a reliable, fuel-efficient daily driver that doesn't compromise on safety or style.

This Car vs Other 2024 CX-3s

At 39,000 km, this CX-3 sits well below the average 50,000+ km typically seen on two-year-old commuters in the UAE market. The Grey exterior is a premier resale color in the region, offering a sophisticated look while maintaining high market demand. Choosing this specific unit ensures you are getting a late-model vehicle with its most significant depreciation already behind it.

GT vs Lower Trims

The GT trim significantly elevates the experience over the base models, adding 18-inch alloy wheels and premium leather-trimmed seating with contrasting piping. It introduces essential GCC safety tech like the Active Driving Display (Head-Up Display) and Blind Spot Monitoring. You also benefit from automatic climate control and a 6-speaker sound system, features that make summer driving across the Emirates far more comfortable.

CX-3 vs Segment Rivals

The CX-3 leads competitors like the Nissan Kicks and Mitsubishi ASX in interior material quality and driving dynamics. Its 2.0L Skyactiv-G engine provides a more responsive feel on the highway than the CVT-driven alternatives in this class. While rivals might offer slightly more raw cargo volume, the Mazda’s compact 5.4m turning radius makes it the superior choice for navigating tight parking in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages 6.5 L/100km, making it one of the most economical non-hybrid crossovers for the daily commute between Emirates. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, supported by an extensive authorized network across the UAE and wider GCC. Mazda maintains a strong value retention rate in the local market, typically seeing only 10-12% annual depreciation, which is superior to many European competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 145 hp engine is paired with a traditional 6-speed automatic and All Wheel Drive, providing confident traction even during the occasional rainy season or on loose gravel tracks. It reaches 100 km/h in approximately 8.3 seconds, offering plenty of punch for safe highway overtaking. The G-Vectoring Control system works behind the scenes to improve handling stability, a noticeable benefit during long cross-country drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around the driver, featuring Mazda’s signature ergonomic layout and high-quality soft-touch materials. The GT trim’s climate control system is exceptionally robust, engineered to cool the sub-compact cabin rapidly in temperatures exceeding 45°C. For cargo, the 264-litre boot is perfectly sized for city errands, expanding to 1,174 litres with the flat-folding rear seats for weekend road trips.

Safety

Safety is a priority with the i-Activsense suite included, featuring Smart City Brake Support and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are invaluable in busy GCC traffic. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and Electronic Stability Control to manage sand-drifted road surfaces. These active systems provide peace of mind during high-speed highway travel between the major cities.

The bottom line

Perfect for the urban professional or small family, this AWD CX-3 GT offers a premium Japanese driving experience with low running costs and high resale security.
