Summary

This 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 4MATIC is an exceptional example of the modern luxury SUV, offering a near-new ownership experience with just 9,900 km. As a European-spec model in crisp white, it holds high resale appeal in the GCC market where light colors are preferred for their heat-reflecting properties. The mild-hybrid inline-six powertrain delivers a perfect balance of refined city commuting and effortless highway overtaking on long inter-emirate drives. With its low mileage and current model year status, this vehicle represents a strategic purchase for those looking to bypass the steepest initial depreciation. For a GCC buyer, this GLE provides a sophisticated cabin environment capable of maintaining peak cooling performance during the most extreme summer months.

This Car vs Other 2024 GLE450s

With only 9,900 km on the odometer, this vehicle's mileage is significantly lower than the average 20,000–25,000 km expected for a car of this age in the GCC. The white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the region, ensuring better value retention and faster liquidity in the used market. Being a European-spec model, it offers a high equipment level often featuring advanced driving aids and interior finishes highly prized by luxury enthusiasts.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

The GLE450 4MATIC replaces the four-cylinder engine of the GLE350 with a much more powerful and smooth 3.0L inline-six, which is essential for maintaining effortless momentum when fully loaded. This trim level typically standardizes high-demand features such as a 360-degree camera system, enhanced ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats, providing a noticeable step up in daily comfort for the GCC climate. The fully variable all-wheel-drive system also ensures superior stability on both sand-drifted highways and wet asphalt.

GLE450 vs Segment Rivals

The GLE450 leads its primary rivals, the BMW X5 and Audi Q7, with a focus on ride isolation and cabin technology featuring the expansive MBUX digital cockpit. Its 85-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long-distance desert trips compared to many competitors. Additionally, the GLE's specialized air suspension options and interior legroom make it a more comfortable family choice for those prioritizing a plush, executive-class journey.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 9.6 L/100km on the combined cycle, making it efficient for its size thanks to the 48V mild-hybrid system. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized Mercedes-Benz centers, which are extensively available across the UAE and the wider GCC. While European-spec cars may have different warranty terms than GCC-spec units, parts availability is excellent across the region due to the model's high popularity. Expect an annual depreciation rate of roughly 12-15% in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 381 hp turbocharged inline-six engine provides linear power delivery, pushing the SUV to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds. This performance is particularly useful for merging into fast-moving highway traffic on the E11 or overtaking on open desert roads. The 3,493 kg towing capacity is class-leading, making it an ideal candidate for hauling boats or trailers for weekend adventures. Multiple drive modes allow the 4MATIC system to adapt seamlessly from city streets to light off-road paths.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat layout offers expansive shoulder and legroom, ensuring all passengers remain comfortable during long cross-border drives. Mercedes-Benz's renowned climate control system is engineered to handle extreme heat, supplemented by dedicated rear air vents to keep the entire cabin cool. The MBUX infotainment system with dual 12.3-inch displays provides intuitive control over navigation and entertainment, while high-quality acoustic glass minimizes exterior wind noise at highway speeds.

Safety

This GLE450 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a 360-degree camera for effortless parking in tight urban spaces. The adaptive cruise control is a standout feature for long GCC highway commutes, maintaining safe distances automatically. Passive safety is equally robust, featuring a sophisticated array of airbags and a high-strength passenger cell that has earned top ratings in international safety testing.

The bottom line

This low-mileage GLE450 is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking a current-generation luxury SUV that balances performance with high resale potential in the GCC. It offers the prestige and technology of a flagship Mercedes-Benz at a more favorable position on the depreciation curve.
