Nissan Pathfinder SV 3.5

Highlights

• 284 hp from a 3.5L V6 engine
• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• 70-litre fuel tank capacity

Summary

This 2024 Nissan Pathfinder SV is a compelling family SUV, offering a significant advantage with its exceptionally low mileage of just 11,173 km over its two years of vehicle age. Finished in Pearl White, the strongest resale color in the GCC market, this SV trim bridges the gap between value and luxury with key upgrades like ProPILOT Assist and heated power seats. Its 3.5L V6 and 9-speed automatic provide the smooth, durable performance that Nissan is famous for across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. For a GCC buyer, the combination of a near-new mechanical state and a high-demand regional specification makes this a standout choice for reliable family transport.

This Car vs Other 2024 Pathfinders

With only 11,173 km on the odometer, this Pathfinder has covered less than half the distance of a typical two-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where annual averages reach 25,000 km. The Pearl White exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring better heat reflection during peak summer and significantly stronger value retention when it comes time to trade. Choosing a low-mileage GCC-spec model over higher-mileage alternatives provides greater peace of mind regarding the remaining life of critical components like the suspension and cooling systems.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a significant step up from the base S model, adding the semi-autonomous ProPILOT Assist system which is invaluable for fatigue reduction on long highway drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Inside, it adds a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats, while the exterior gains functional roof rails and heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals. This trim also introduces remote engine start, a critical feature for pre-cooling the cabin to a comfortable temperature during the intense GCC summer months.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Honda Pilot and Chevrolet Traverse, the Pathfinder stands out with its standard 9-speed automatic transmission, which offers a more traditional and durable driving feel than many CVT competitors. Its 70-litre fuel tank is well-sized for cross-border journeys, providing ample range for long stretches of desert highway. Furthermore, Nissan’s air conditioning systems are historically regarded as some of the most powerful in the segment, a major deciding factor for families living in the Gulf.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 delivers a manufacturer-estimated combined fuel economy of approximately 10.6 L/100km, which is efficient for a large 6-cylinder SUV in GCC stop-start traffic. Nissan enjoys one of the widest service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring that parts and authorized technicians are never out of reach. In the GCC market, the Pathfinder retains its value exceptionally well, typically seeing a depreciation of only 8-10% annually, outperforming many American and European rivals in the same class.

Performance & Capability

The 284 hp V6 engine provides responsive overtaking power, which is essential for safely navigating fast-moving highway traffic. While this is a front-wheel-drive configuration optimized for city and highway efficiency, it retains the 18-inch alloy wheels and robust chassis that allow for confident driving on gravel roads or during weekend family trips. The transition to a 9-speed automatic has refined the power delivery, making it both smoother in the city and more relaxed at high cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

Configured as a spacious SUV, this Pathfinder focuses on family logistics with tri-zone automatic climate control that ensures every row stays cool in 45°C+ temperatures. The cabin is insulated with acoustic glass to minimize road noise during long highway commutes, creating a refined environment for up to eight passengers. The SV interior is further enhanced by a leather-wrapped steering wheel and high-quality materials that are built to withstand the rigorous use typical of a GCC family workhorse.

Safety

Safety is led by Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert—systems that are particularly helpful on the multi-lane highways of the UAE. The SV trim’s ProPILOT Assist combines steering assist and Intelligent Cruise Control to help maintain lane position and distance from the vehicle ahead. Additionally, standard features like Rear Automatic Braking and Forward Collision Mitigation provide an extra layer of protection for urban driving and tight parking situations.

The bottom line

For the family buyer who prioritizes regional reliability and low-mileage peace of mind, this GCC-spec Pathfinder SV offers a nearly new driving experience at a much more favorable market position.
