Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol NISMO represents the final evolution of the legendary V8 powertrain, making it a highly sought-after piece for GCC collectors and enthusiasts. Despite the 128,000 km mileage, these Takumi-tuned engines are engineered for high-stress regional use and long-distance desert highway endurance. The crisp white exterior is the premier choice for resale strength in the Middle East, offering the best heat reflection and market demand. As a range-topping performance SUV, it bridges the gap between a family workhorse and a track-inspired flagship. For a buyer in the UAE or KSA, this specific model offers the prestige of the NISMO badge at a point where the steepest initial depreciation has already occurred.

This Car vs Other 2024 Nissan Patrols

While 128,000 km is above the typical annual average for a 2024 model, it reflects the long-distance highway cruising common for high-spec SUVs in the GCC. The white exterior provides a significant advantage for resale value in the local market compared to darker tones. Mechanically, the NISMO trim features reinforced components designed to handle these distances with greater composure than standard variants.

NISMO vs Lower Trims

The NISMO adds a hand-tuned 428 hp engine and a bespoke aerodynamic body kit with an F1-inspired rear fog light not found on the Platinum City. Inside, you receive a race-inspired Alcantara and leather interior with signature red stitching and NISMO-branded instrumentation. Crucially, it replaces the standard suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers for significantly sharper handling and reduced body roll during high-speed highway driving.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser GR-Sport, the Patrol NISMO offers a more emotional, naturally aspirated V8 soundtrack that is now a rarity in the segment. It leads rivals with a generous 140-litre total fuel capacity (100L + 40L sub-tank), essential for cross-border trips between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The cabin also provides a more traditional luxury feel with tactile buttons and a physical presence that many regional buyers prefer over all-screen competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the NISMO-tuned V8 averages approximately 14.5 L/100km, though this can rise in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Nissan maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across all GCC countries, ensuring parts availability even in remote areas. The NISMO trim specifically commands a 15–25% premium on the used market over standard LE models, and as the final V8 generation, it is expected to follow a flatter depreciation curve than its V6 successors.

Performance & Capability

The 428 hp V8 enables a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 6.5 seconds, an impressive figure for a vehicle of this scale. Beyond straight-line speed, the NISMO features a tuned suspension and 22-inch forged alloy wheels that provide superior stability during high-speed maneuvers on the E11 or E311. Despite its sporty focus, it retains a selectable all-wheel-drive system and a rear differential lock for weekend desert excursions.

Comfort & Cabin

This 8-seater configuration features a powerful tri-zone climate control system specifically engineered to reach 18°C even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. The NISMO-exclusive Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and cooled front seats provide immediate relief during the peak GCC summer months. Acoustic glass and premium insulation ensure the cabin remains quiet and isolated from road noise during long trans-emirate commutes.

Safety

The NISMO comes standard with Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility suite, including 360-degree cameras with Moving Object Detection for easier parking in tight city spaces. Key safety highlights for the GCC include Intelligent Cruise Control and Blind Spot Warning, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The vehicle is also equipped with a full array of SRS airbags and high-performance brakes to match its increased engine output.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity for a GCC enthusiast to own the final V8 iteration of the NISMO Patrol, a vehicle that offers unmatched regional prestige and a proven service network.
