Summary

This 2024 Nissan Sunny SV is an exceptional value workhorse for GCC residents, balancing modern aesthetic upgrades with the model's legendary reputation for durability. At two years old with average mileage for the UAE market, it remains a mechanically sound choice for those prioritizing long-term ownership and low running costs. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring maximum heat reflection during summer and superior resale liquidity. In a segment where reliability is the primary driver, the Sunny leads with a vast service footprint and parts availability that ensures hassle-free commuting between emirates.

This Car vs Other 2024 Sunnys

With 65,771 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at a standard usage level for a two-year-old car in the GCC, where annual averages typically reach 30,000 km due to highway-heavy commutes. The white paint is a significant advantage in the local market, maintaining its finish better under the desert sun and commanding higher demand at resale compared to darker tones.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim elevates the driving experience over the base S grade by adding essential convenience and safety features tailored for local driving. You benefit from a 7-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, and cruise control as standard. It also upgrades the exterior with 16-inch alloy wheels and body-colored mirrors with integrated turn indicators.

Sunny vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Yaris and Kia Pegas, the Sunny stands out with its class-leading boot capacity of 425 litres and a more comprehensive standard safety suite. Its longer wheelbase provides superior rear legroom, making it a more comfortable choice for small families or those providing passenger services across the UAE.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 1.5L powertrain averages around 19.1 km/L, offering significant savings during high-traffic commutes in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km, supported by one of the largest authorized networks in the GCC including Arabian Automobiles and Al Masaood. Historically, the Sunny maintains one of the lowest depreciation rates in its segment, often retaining over 65% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine is paired with an Xtronic CVT designed for smooth power delivery and optimized efficiency. While focused on economy, the powertrain provides reliable highway overtaking performance and maintains stable temperatures even in extreme GCC heat. The front-wheel-drive setup and tight turning circle make it exceptionally easy to navigate through congested urban centers and tight parking structures.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is designed for practicality and cooling efficiency, featuring a powerful air conditioning system that is a benchmark for the compact segment. The SV trim includes premium fabric upholstery and a multi-function steering wheel that puts audio and cruise controls at your fingertips. Sound insulation has been improved in this generation to ensure a quieter ride during long-distance trips between cities.

Safety

Safety is a priority with standard features including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking, which are rare at this price point. The vehicle is also equipped with Rear Parking Sensors, Hill Start Assist, and Vehicle Dynamic Control to manage traction on sandy or rain-slicked surfaces. Dual front airbags and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System provide additional peace of mind for daily highway driving.

The bottom line

Perfect for daily commuters and small families, this GCC-spec Sunny SV offers the ideal balance of modern technology and proven reliability with the highest resale potential in the UAE market.
