Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Terra Platinum is a standout choice for GCC families, offering the top-tier specification with the practicality of seven seats. With mileage reflecting typical highway use in the region, it remains mechanically fresh and benefits from Nissan's widespread service support across the UAE and KSA. The Platinum trim adds essential luxury and safety tech that maintains high demand in the used market, while the White exterior ensures maximum heat reflection and strong resale value. It bridges the gap between rugged off-roaders and comfortable city commuters, making it a versatile daily driver for the Middle East climate.

This Car vs Other 2024 X Terras

With 55,135 km, this X-Terra sits within the expected range for a 2024 model in the GCC, where annual mileage often reaches 25,000 km due to inter-city highway driving. The White exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, significantly aiding heat management during summer months and ensuring faster resale. Choosing a Platinum trim at this age provides a modern, high-spec experience while the vehicle is still within its primary performance window.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim is a significant step up from the SE and Titanium, adding quilted premium leather upholstery and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. Safety is bolstered with a 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor and a full suite of ADAS features like Blind Spot Warning and Lane Departure Warning, which are often optional or absent on lower grades. Additionally, the Platinum features 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and an intelligent rear-view mirror that provides a digital camera feed, essential when the third row is fully occupied.

X Terra vs Segment Rivals

The X-Terra leads rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in terms of ride refinement, thanks to its sophisticated five-link rear suspension system. While competitors often feel truck-like and bouncy, the Nissan provides a more composed highway experience for family trips. Its 78-litre fuel tank ensures a competitive cruising range for long desert stretches between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.5L engine averages around 8.8 to 11.4 L/100km depending on highway or city conditions, making it one of the more efficient 7-seaters in its class. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the GCC. The X-Terra retains approximately 70-73% of its value after three years, benefiting from Nissan's reputation for long-term reliability in extreme heat.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine produces 165 hp and 241 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission. With a generous 243 mm ground clearance and a selectable Four-Wheel Drive system with a locking differential, it is highly capable for weekend desert excursions and soft sand driving. The approach angle of 32.3 degrees ensures it can handle steep dunes and rocky wadis common in the UAE and Oman.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a family-friendly 7-seat layout with theater-style seating that improves visibility for rear passengers. The dual-zone climate control is specifically engineered for the GCC, complemented by dedicated ceiling-mounted vents for both the second and third rows to ensure rapid cooling during peak summer. Tech highlights include a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and a refrigerated center console to keep beverages cold during long journeys.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this Platinum trim, featuring six airbags and the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite. It includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, providing essential protection during fast-paced highway merges. The body-on-frame construction is paired with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Hill Descent Control, offering stability on both slippery highway surfaces and loose gravel tracks.

The bottom line

For the buyer who needs a dependable 7-seat family SUV that handles the school run and desert weekends with equal ease, this high-spec Platinum trim represents a secure, high-value investment in the current GCC market.
