Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Terra Platinum is a standout opportunity, offering exceptionally low mileage for a vehicle in the GCC market where high-speed highway commuting is the norm. As the range-topping Platinum trim, it provides a significantly more premium experience than the base models, making it a highly desirable choice for families who want zero-compromise comfort. The X-Terra has quickly become a GCC favorite for its ability to balance daily city duties with weekend desert adventures, outshining road-biased crossovers in durability. Its strong regional presence ensures excellent resale confidence, particularly in this high-spec configuration. For a buyer looking for a near-new seven-seater with proven ladder-frame toughness, this listing is a prime choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 X Terras

With just over 10,000 km, this vehicle has covered less than half the distance of a typical one-year-old car in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. This extremely low usage means the mechanical components and interior surfaces remain in near-showroom condition. Choosing this low-mileage example provides a significant advantage in long-term reliability and future resale value compared to higher-mileage alternatives.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim is a major step up from the Titanium, replacing the standard 8-inch screen with a superior 9-inch infotainment system featuring built-in navigation. It adds premium leather-appointed seating and a suite of Intelligent Mobility technologies, including a 360-degree Bird's Eye View camera which is essential for parking a large SUV in tight Dubai or Riyadh spaces. You also get larger 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels that give the vehicle a more commanding presence on the road.

X Terra vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport, the X-Terra is often praised for its superior ride quality on paved roads thanks to a more refined multi-link rear suspension setup. While rivals focus heavily on utility, the Nissan offers a more modern cabin tech suite and better sound insulation, making it the preferred choice for long cross-border drives. Its 78-litre fuel tank provides a generous range, reducing the frequency of stops during long desert highway stretches.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.5L engine is remarkably efficient for a vehicle of this size, achieving roughly 8.7 to 11.4 L/100km depending on GCC traffic conditions. Nissan’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region makes maintenance convenient and keeps costs predictable. The X-Terra holds its value exceptionally well in the local market, typically retaining about 70-75% of its price after three years, which is competitive with the segment’s best performers.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a dedicated low-range transfer case and 243 mm of ground clearance, this SUV is genuinely capable of handling light to moderate desert dunes and rocky wadis. The 7-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth highway cruising, ensuring the 165 hp engine remains in its most efficient power band during overtakes. Its body-on-frame construction provides the structural integrity needed for towing and heavy-duty family use across varied GCC terrains.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout features 'Zero Gravity' inspired seating that reduces fatigue during long drives between cities like Abu Dhabi and Muscat. The Platinum trim ensures everyone stays cool with a powerful dual-zone climate control system and dedicated air vents for both the second and third rows. Acoustic glass helps keep the cabin quiet, shielding passengers from outside wind noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this Platinum trim, featuring Nissan Intelligent Mobility which includes Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving, multi-lane GCC highways where high-speed lane changes are frequent. The 360-degree camera system and parking sensors provide excellent visibility, ensuring safety for the whole family during school runs or shopping trips.

The bottom line

For the family buyer who needs the durability of a real 4x4 without sacrificing modern tech and comfort, this low-mileage Platinum trim is the smartest way to beat the new-car waiting list.
