Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Trail SL represents a premium opportunity in the compact SUV market, offering the highest trim level with the highly desirable seven-seat configuration. As a GCC-spec model finished in White—the region's strongest color for resale value—it is perfectly suited for the local market's demands. With just over 34,000 km, its mileage is slightly above the typical annual average for the UAE, yet it remains a near-new vehicle with modern tech and safety systems that rival European luxury crossovers. This generation of X-Trail stands out for its exceptional interior refinement and cabin cooling efficiency, two critical factors for comfortable ownership in the Gulf. For a family-focused buyer in the GCC, this listing balances high-end features with the peace of mind offered by Nissan’s extensive regional service network.

This Car vs Other 2024 X-Trails

With 34,144 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the 20,000–25,000 km typical of a first-year car in the GCC. However, this is largely attributed to highway commuting between emirates, which is mechanically preferable to stop-start city idling. The White exterior is a significant advantage, as it remains the most sought-after color in the secondary market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than darker shades.

SL vs Lower Trims

The SL trim is the top-tier offering for the X-Trail, adding essential luxury and tech that the S and SV grades lack. It includes a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display, and a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system. Crucially for the GCC climate, the SL features premium leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof, along with the full ProPILOT safety suite and a 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor that makes navigating tight urban parking much simpler.

X-Trail vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the X-Trail leads by offering a third row of seats, providing 7-passenger capability that its primary Japanese competitors lack in this footprint. Its 55-litre fuel tank and aerodynamic design provide a range of approximately 700 km on the highway, ideal for long desert drives. Additionally, Nissan’s air conditioning systems are historically regarded as some of the most robust for handling the extreme 45°C+ heat of the Gulf summer.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0-litre engine provides a balance of efficiency and reliability, with real-world combined fuel consumption averaging between 7.4L and 7.8L/100km. Service intervals are standardized at 10,000 km or 6 months across a vast network of authorized centers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. As a GCC-spec Japanese SUV, the X-Trail enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in its class, typically retaining about 85-90% of its value in the first two years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with an Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive system, this SUV provides stable handling on gravel and light sand tracks during weekend escapes. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is paired with a refined CVT that prioritizes smooth power delivery for highway overtaking and relaxed cruising. While primarily road-biased, its 205 mm ground clearance allows it to clear high curbs and uneven terrain with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for family logistics, featuring a seven-seat layout with sliding and reclining second-row seats to maximize legroom. The dual-zone climate control includes dedicated rear air vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during the peak of summer. High-quality materials and acoustic glass help isolate the interior from road noise, providing a quiet environment for long trips between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the SL trim, which features the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite as standard. This includes Blind Spot Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control, which are indispensable for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. The vehicle also features Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, contributing to its high safety ratings and providing total peace of mind for family transport.

The bottom line

This top-spec 2024 SL is the perfect choice for a growing GCC family that wants the latest technology and 7-seat versatility without the premium price tag of a brand-new showroom model.
