Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Trail N-TREK is a standout choice in the family SUV market, combining modern rugged aesthetics with highly efficient performance. With less than 30,000 km, this vehicle is barely broken in and remains well within its primary ownership window for the GCC region. The N-TREK trim offers a distinct visual package that avoids the common chrome finishes, making it a stylish alternative to the standard SV and SL grades. In the local market, the X-Trail is revered for its bulletproof reliability and strong resale value, especially in its 7-seat configuration. For buyers in the UAE and wider GCC, this provides the perfect balance of family logistics, summer cooling performance, and long-range highway efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2024 X-Trails

With just 29,037 km on the odometer, this X-Trail has been driven roughly 15,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. This lower-than-average usage ensures the mechanical components and the unique N-TREK interior materials remain in excellent condition. While listed in a neutral 'other' color, the N-TREK's specific blacked-out exterior accents typically command higher desirability in the used market than standard chrome-heavy base trims.

N-TREK vs Lower Trims

The N-TREK trim builds on the well-equipped SV grade by adding a rugged, darkened exterior theme including a black V-motion grille, gunmetal bumper inserts, and unique 18-inch black-and-silver alloy wheels. Inside, it adds specialized water-resistant synthetic leather upholstery designed for active lifestyles and the flagship 12.3-inch digital driver display and infotainment screens. It also features a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) and 360-degree camera system, features that are often missing from the base S and SV grades.

X-Trail vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the X-Trail offers a distinct advantage with its available 7-seat layout, providing extra flexibility for larger families. It also features a larger 55-liter fuel tank and highly efficient CVT, making it better suited for long-distance driving between emirates. While rivals focus on urban comfort, the X-Trail's intelligent 4WD system and selectable terrain modes offer more confidence for light desert trail exploration.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.5L powertrain is optimized for efficiency, delivering approximately 15.6 km/L on the combined cycle, which is excellent for a 7-seater in GCC stop-start traffic. Nissan’s massive authorized service network, including Arabian Automobiles and Al Masaood, ensures that parts and maintenance are affordable and readily available across the UAE and KSA. Historically, GCC-spec X-Trails retain 60–70% of their value over three years, significantly outperforming American-spec imports in resale price.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a refined 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 181 hp and 244 Nm of torque, this SUV provides smooth power delivery for highway overtaking and city cruising. The intelligent Four Wheel Drive (4WD) system includes a lock mode for better traction on loose gravel or sand, making it a capable companion for weekend family camping trips. The 0–100 km/h sprint is achieved in approximately 9.3 seconds, providing adequate pace for daily commuting.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for the GCC climate with a powerful dual-zone automatic AC system and dedicated vents for all three rows of passengers. The N-TREK’s water-resistant upholstery is particularly practical for regional use, easily handling spills or sand after a trip to the beach. A large panoramic sunroof enhances the sense of space, while the digital cockpit and wireless smartphone integration provide a modern, tech-forward driving environment.

Safety

This N-TREK model is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Intervention, which are invaluable for fast-moving UAE highway traffic. It features six standard airbags and a 360-degree camera system to assist with parking in tight urban spaces. The vehicle also includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Emergency Braking to provide maximum peace of mind for family transport.

The bottom line

This N-TREK is the ideal choice for an active family looking for a modern, tech-rich SUV that combines the legendary reliability of Nissan with a unique, rugged aesthetic that stands out from the crowd.
