Summary

This 2024 Porsche 718 Boxster is a standout opportunity, offering exceptionally low mileage of just 11,166 km over its 2 years of life. Finished in Blue, a highly desirable and strong resale color in the GCC market, it combines iconic roadster styling with the reliability of a GCC-spec vehicle. The mid-engine layout provides a level of balance and handling precision that few rivals can match, making it perfect for both daily city drives and weekend coastal runs. For a local buyer, this represents a near-new entry into the Porsche brand with the peace of mind that comes from a vehicle already adapted for the regional climate.

This Car vs Other 2024 718 Boxsters

With just 11,166 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. This low usage, combined with its 2-year age, positions it as a high-tier option for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The Blue exterior is a sought-after shade that typically retains value better than more niche colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabian used markets.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the base trim for the 2024 model year, the Standard already includes essential GCC luxuries like dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. Unlike older generations, this model features the updated Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with Apple CarPlay as standard. While higher trims add larger wheels, the 18-inch alloys on this trim provide a more compliant ride over the expansion joints and variable surfaces found on major UAE highways.

718 Boxster vs Segment Rivals

The 718 Boxster leads the BMW Z4 and Jaguar F-Type in terms of pure chassis balance thanks to its mid-engine configuration. While rivals often offer larger engines, the Porsche’s lightweight construction and telepathic steering make it the more surgical tool for driving enthusiasts. Its dual-trunk design (front and rear) also provides more practical total cargo volume for weekend trips between Emirates compared to most two-seat roadsters.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this powertrain averages approximately 10.0 L/100km combined, though city driving in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic will see this rise. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or annually, and Porsche’s extensive authorized network across the UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia ensures excellent parts availability. The 718 generation enjoys strong value retention in the GCC, traditionally depreciating slower than its British or Italian counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The 300 hp turbocharged engine delivers a 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds, ensuring rapid overtaking capability on fast-moving highways like the E11. The 7-speed PDK automatic transmission provides near-instant gear shifts, while the mid-engine layout keeps the car flat and composed through high-speed bends. With a top speed of 275 km/h, it offers a performance ceiling that is rarely exploited but always available.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is built around the driver, featuring high-quality partial leather upholstery and a clear, analog-digital instrument cluster. The air conditioning is specifically engineered to cope with extreme GCC summer temperatures, maintaining cabin chill even under the midday sun. The power-operated fabric top can be deployed in just 9 seconds, allowing you to quickly transition to open-top driving as soon as the sun sets.

Safety

Standard safety features include front and rear parking sensors, which are essential for navigating tight mall parking in the city. The Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system works continuously to maintain traction on sandy or dusty road surfaces common in the region. Dual-rollover protection and a comprehensive airbag suite ensure that despite its lightweight sports car nature, occupant safety remains a top priority.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a buyer looking for a near-pristine, low-mileage Porsche that handles the GCC climate as well as it handles the corners. It offers the perfect balance of modern tech and pure driving dynamics in a color that will hold its value for years to come.
