Summary

This 2024 Toyota Camry Sport offers a rare combination in the current market, featuring the potent 3.5-liter V6 engine that provides effortless highway overtaking and smooth long-distance cruising. In a segment increasingly moving toward smaller turbocharged engines, this naturally aspirated V6 stands out for its linear power delivery and long-term mechanical simplicity. The exterior is finished in white, the most desirable color for heat reflection and resale value across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. With moderate mileage and a full GCC specification, this sedan represents a balance of modern tech and the legendary durability that makes the model a staple of regional roads. It is an ideal choice for professionals who require a reliable daily commuter that can handle the high-speed demands of inter-city travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

This Car vs Other 2024 Camrys

With 38,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at a typical usage level for a modern GCC sedan, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km due to highway-heavy commuting. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering the highest thermal efficiency in summer and the strongest liquidity at trade-in. While many 2024 models are transitioning to smaller powertrains, this V6 variant retains a mechanical advantage favored by local buyers.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim significantly upgrades the driving experience over the standard LE and SE models by introducing the 3.5-liter V6 engine and a sport-tuned suspension. Inside, it adds premium touches such as sport SofTex-trimmed seats and paddle shifters, providing a more engaged feel on the highway. Buyers also benefit from larger alloy wheels and aggressive exterior styling that distinguishes the Sport trim from the entry-level fleet-focused configurations.

Camry vs Segment Rivals

The Camry continues to lead rivals like the Nissan Altima and Honda Accord primarily through its reputation for air conditioning performance and resale value. While the Altima offers a CVT, the Camry utilizes a traditional 8-speed automatic transmission, which is widely preferred in the GCC for its durability under high heat and heavy loads. Its 3.5L engine provides a naturally aspirated V6 option that is becoming increasingly scarce among its turbocharged competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The V6 powertrain delivers approximately 9.4 L/100km in combined driving, balancing performance with reasonable efficiency for a large-displacement engine. Ownership is supported by the most extensive authorized service network in the region, ensuring parts are available from Al-Futtaim in the UAE to Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia. The Camry historically experiences lower annual depreciation than European rivals, typically retaining a higher percentage of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

Generating 298 hp, this V6 sedan is optimized for the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the GCC, offering smooth acceleration that makes merging into 140 km/h traffic effortless. The 8-speed automatic transmission is geared for fuel-efficient cruising, keeping revs low during long-distance trips across the Emirates. The front-wheel-drive layout and sport-tuned suspension provide a stable, planted feel even when navigating the crosswinds often encountered on open desert roads.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for the regional climate, the cabin features a dual-zone automatic climate control system renowned for its cooling speed in temperatures exceeding 45°C. The five-seat layout provides ample legroom for adult passengers, making it suitable for both family duties and executive transport. Acoustic glass and improved insulation help keep the interior quiet, filtering out road noise during high-speed highway commutes.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Toyota Safety Sense, featuring Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert. Adaptive Cruise Control is standard, which is particularly beneficial for reducing driver fatigue on long highway stretches between major GCC cities. The vehicle is further protected by a multi-airbag system and stability control specifically calibrated to maintain traction on sandy or dusty road surfaces.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking the final iteration of the V6 Camry, this 2024 Sport trim offers the perfect mix of performance and regional suitability with excellent resale prospects.
