Summary

This 2024 Volvo XC90 Plus Bright is an exceptional find for GCC buyers, offering a near-new ownership experience with just 26,324 km on the clock. The Blue exterior provides a distinguished alternative to the common greyscale palette while maintaining strong desirability in the local used market. As a Plus Bright trim, it bridges the gap between essential luxury and flagship features, making it a highly pragmatic choice for families. Its 7-seat configuration and All-Wheel Drive system are perfectly suited for the long-distance highway travel and weekend coastal trips common across the Emirates. For a buyer seeking Scandinavian refinement without the heavy depreciation of a brand-new showroom model, this GCC-spec XC90 represents a stable, high-value opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2024 XC90s

With 26,324 km, this vehicle sits comfortably below the typical 35,000 km mark expected for a premium SUV in the GCC after its first full year. This lower-than-average usage ensures the mechanical components and interior leather remain in peak condition. The Blue exterior is a sophisticated choice that holds its value well in a market where unique but tasteful colors are increasingly sought after.

PLUS BRIGHT vs Lower Trims

The Plus Bright trim offers a significant step up from the Core model, most notably adding a 360° overhead camera that is essential for navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. GCC buyers will appreciate the addition of rear-seat heating and high-level interior illumination, alongside larger 20-inch alloy wheels that provide a more commanding presence on the road. It also introduces genuine leather upholstery and walnut wood inlays, replacing the synthetic materials found in base versions.

XC90 vs Segment Rivals

The XC90 leads rivals like the BMW X5 and Audi Q7 when it comes to standard safety technology and third-row accessibility. While competitors often charge extra for advanced driver assistance, Volvo includes its full Pilot Assist suite as standard. Furthermore, its 71-litre fuel tank provides a generous cruising range, making it better suited for cross-border GCC road trips than many smaller-capacity competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this mild-hybrid powertrain averages 9.2 L/100km, offering a balanced profile for both stop-start city traffic and high-speed cruising between Emirates. Volvo maintains a strong authorized service presence across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 15,000 km or 12 months. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a value premium of roughly 15-20% over non-regional imports, ensuring a much smoother resale process in the future.

Performance & Capability

This XC90 delivers a refined 250 hp from its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, achieving 0-100 km/h in approximately 7.7 seconds. The All-Wheel Drive system is tuned for stability on both rain-slicked tarmac and loose gravel surfaces, making it a reliable partner for weekend excursions. With 216 mm of ground clearance, it easily handles high speed bumps and uneven terrain often encountered on the way to desert campsites or rural wadis.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in Scandinavian utility, featuring seven genuine seats and a massive 1,856 litres of potential cargo space with the rear rows folded. The four-zone climate control is specifically engineered to combat extreme GCC summer heat, ensuring every passenger from the front to the third row stays cool. A panoramic sunroof comes standard, flooding the leather-trimmed interior with light while utilizing heat-reflective glass to maintain cabin temperature.

Safety

Volvo’s reputation for safety is fully realized here with a comprehensive ADAS suite that includes Blind Spot Information (BLIS), Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Keeping Aid. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving, multi-lane highways, providing active steering support and automatic braking to prevent collisions. The XC90 also features a reinforced safety cage and multiple airbags, consistently earning top safety marks from international testing bodies like Euro NCAP.

The bottom line

For the family-oriented GCC buyer, this low-mileage 2024 XC90 Plus Bright is the ideal balance of Swedish safety, premium tech, and long-term resale stability.
