Summary

This 2025 BMW M4 Competition M xDrive Convertible represents the sharpest edge of the latest LCI (facelift) generation, featuring updated lighting signatures and the refined BMW iDrive 8.5 interface. With just over 14,000 km, the mileage is exceptionally low for a GCC-based performance car, offering a nearly-new experience without the initial depreciation hit. The Green exterior is a standout choice in a market dominated by monochromatic tones, often holding a niche premium for enthusiasts looking for the signature 'M' launch palette. Compared to the standard M4, this Competition xDrive model provides the critical all-weather traction and high-speed stability required for the UAE's fast-moving multi-lane highways. For a buyer in the GCC, this is the ideal transition from a track-capable animal to a refined open-top cruiser for the cooler winter months.

This Car vs Other 2025 M4s

With 14,311 km on the odometer, this M4 sits well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, signaling a vehicle used primarily for weekend leisure rather than a daily commute. As a 2025 model year, it benefits from the Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) updates including the new 'arrowhead' LED DRLs and laser-effect taillights borrowed from the M4 CSL. The Green finish is a Tier-1 resale color for M-division products in this region, consistently outperforming standard silver or white in enthusiast circles.

COMPETITION M XDRIVE vs Lower Trims

Choosing the Competition M xDrive trim over the base M4 adds a substantial 37 hp increase and the sophisticated M-tuned all-wheel-drive system, which is essential for putting power down effectively in sandy or high-heat conditions. Inside, the trim upgrades the cabin to a more digital-forward experience with the Curved Display and iDrive 8.5 as standard. It also includes the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, which provides much smoother stop-start behavior in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic compared to the manual found in base models.

M4 vs Segment Rivals

The M4 comfortably leads the Mercedes-AMG C63 S and Audi RS5 in terms of pure driver engagement and weight management, being significantly lighter than its hybridized competitors. While rivals have moved towards heavier 4-cylinder or V6 hybrid setups, the BMW retains its celebrated 3.0L S58 inline-six engine, a powertrain highly respected in the GCC for its tuning potential and heat resilience. Its folding soft-top is engineered for speed, opening or closing in just 18 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.3 L/100km on combined cycles, though spirited city driving in summer heat will see this rise. BMW’s authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with standard service intervals typically every 12,000 to 15,000 km depending on the Condition Based Service (CBS) monitor. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a significant value premium over imported American or European models, which often face warranty and cooling-system compatibility hurdles in the region.

Performance & Capability

The headline 3.7-second sprint to 100 km/h is made possible by the xDrive system's rear-biased torque distribution, providing supercar-levels of off-the-line thrust. The M Setup menu allows the driver to toggle between 4WD, 4WD Sport, and a pure 2WD mode for those looking to explore the car's traditional drift-centric roots. On long highway stretches between emirates, the adaptive M suspension delivers a surprisingly composed ride that masks the car's aggressive performance credentials.

Comfort & Cabin

The 4-seat layout is perfectly optimized for the GCC climate, featuring powerful dual-zone climate control integrated into the new digital interface. Standard Merino leather M Sport seats offer excellent lateral support without the punishing ingress/egress issues of the carbon bucket options, making it more suitable for daily luxury use. The Harman Kardon surround sound system and ambient lighting—which now extends to the central air vents—create a premium atmosphere for night drives along the coast.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive suite of safety tech including Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and a high-resolution 360° camera system which is vital for protecting the wide M-body in tight mall parking. BMW's Stability Control (DSC) with M Dynamic Mode is specifically tuned to handle sudden traction changes on sand-dusted road surfaces. Multiple airbags and a reinforced convertible roll-over protection system ensure top-tier passive safety for all four occupants.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance to own the updated 2025 facelift model with ultra-low mileage and the most desirable xDrive powertrain. It is the perfect acquisition for a GCC buyer who wants the latest BMW M technology and the freedom of a convertible for the region's prime driving season.
