Summary

This 2025 BMW M440i xDrive Convertible represents the peak of modern open-top performance, combining the legendary B58 inline-six engine with a smooth 48V mild-hybrid system. At just one year old and with under 27,000 km, this Blue droptop is in excellent mechanical standing for the GCC market, where low-mileage German performance cars are highly sought after. The all-wheel-drive xDrive system provides unmatched confidence during the rare rainy spells or high-speed highway commutes across the Emirates. For the buyer who wants M-car levels of theater without the uncompromising stiffness, this M440i is the definitive grand tourer for the region's well-maintained roads.

This Car vs Other 2025 M440is

With 26,465 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits right at the expected average for a one-year-old car in the GCC, where 20,000 to 25,000 km is the annual norm. Its Blue exterior is a refreshing and strong choice for the local market, offering better heat reflection than traditional black while maintaining higher resale desirability than niche colors. As a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest iDrive updates and hybrid refinements that characterize the very newest examples on the road today.

xDrive vs Lower Trims

Moving up from the 430i to this M440i xDrive adds more than just two extra cylinders; you gain a dedicated M Sport differential and an adaptive M suspension that are crucial for high-speed stability on the E11. Standard equipment on this trim often includes the BMW Curved Display and M Sport brakes, features that GCC buyers prioritize for both tech-forward aesthetics and stopping power in fast-moving traffic. The hybrid assist also smoothens the start-stop experience, a welcome refinement for Dubai's peak-hour congestion.

M440i vs Segment Rivals

The M440i xDrive Convertible leads rivals like the Audi S5 Cabriolet and Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 AMG by offering a more balanced ride that transitions perfectly from a comfortable daily driver to an aggressive sports car. Its 3.0L B58 engine is widely regarded as one of the most reliable performance powerplants in the GCC, with parts and specialized technicians readily available. While rivals focus on heavy digital intervention, the BMW maintains a driver-centric chassis that feels more connected on winding roads like Jebel Jais.

Running Costs & Resale

The mild-hybrid system helps keep fuel consumption around 8.1 L/100km, which is impressive for a six-cylinder performance car in GCC stop-start traffic. BMW's Condition Based Service (CBS) typically prompts for maintenance every 10,000 to 15,000 km, and with the extensive AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors network, service is never a logistical hurdle. While German luxury cars follow a steeper depreciation curve than Japanese equivalents, the M440i trim holds its value significantly better than the standard 4 Series due to its performance credentials.

Performance & Capability

With a manufacturer-claimed 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds, this convertible delivers immediate, linear power that makes highway overtaking effortless. The 374 hp engine works in tandem with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system to ensure maximum traction even on dusty or sand-blown surfaces. Its 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission is tuned for rapid shifts in Sport mode, while the hybrid system provides a silent, efficient coasting function during relaxed cruising.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 4-seater sanctuary featuring the massive BMW Curved Display that integrates seamlessly with local navigation needs. Crucial for the GCC climate, the air conditioning is engineered to reach cabin-chill quickly even after the car has been parked in the sun, and the insulated soft-top provides surprising acoustic isolation from road noise. High-quality materials and supportive M Sport seats ensure that long-distance drives between emirates are as comfortable as a luxury sedan.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite including Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Blind Spot Detection, which are essential for navigating the high-speed multi-lane highways of the UAE. The xDrive system acts as a secondary safety feature, constantly redistributing power to the wheels with the most grip to prevent sliding on gravel or slick surfaces. BMW’s advanced stability control and multiple airbags provide a 5-star safety environment for all four occupants.

The bottom line

This is a pristine, GCC-spec example of BMW's latest performance convertible, offering the perfect mix of low vehicle age and verified maintenance history for the discerning UAE buyer.
