Summary

This Changan CS35 Plus is an exceptional opportunity for a buyer seeking a nearly-new crossover with very low mileage for its age. Silver remains one of the most practical and high-resale exterior colors in the GCC, effectively masking desert dust and reflecting intense summer heat. The Trend trim offers a modern, tech-forward cabin that rivals more expensive Japanese and Korean competitors at a fraction of the cost. With its punchy turbocharged engine and smooth dual-clutch transmission, it is perfectly suited for both daily urban commutes and high-speed highway travel between emirates. For a buyer looking to balance modern features with sensible running costs, this 2025 model stands out as a highly logical choice in the current market.

This Car vs Other 2025 CS35 Pluses

With just 14,119 km, this vehicle is well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for GCC drivers. The Silver exterior is a premier choice for the local market, ensuring higher resale demand compared to niche colors. It represents a significant saving over a brand-new unit while maintaining the feel and reliability of a current-year model.

Trend vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim serves as a substantial step up in daily usability, providing essential GCC comforts like rear air conditioning vents and cruise control. It features an upgraded 10.25-inch infotainment system and a digital cockpit that are missing from base specifications. You also benefit from leather-trimmed seating and enhanced safety tech like Brake Assist, which are highly valued in the local used market.

CS35 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The CS35 Plus leads rivals like the MG ZS and Kia Sonet by offering a higher torque output of 260 Nm, providing much better overtaking confidence on fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. Its turbocharged powertrain feels more refined at speed than the naturally aspirated engines found in many entry-level crossovers. Furthermore, the 53-litre fuel tank is generous for this segment, reducing the frequency of stops on long cross-border drives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is impressive, averaging 6.4 L/100km, which helps keep running costs predictable in stop-start traffic. Changan has established a strong authorized service presence across the UAE and KSA, with standard service intervals typically every 10,000 km. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Toyota, the CS35 Plus has shown resilient value retention in the GCC due to its high feature-to-price ratio.

Performance & Capability

The 1.4L BlueCore turbo engine delivers a responsive 158 hp, allowing the CS35 Plus to reach 100 km/h in approximately 11 seconds. The 7-speed wet Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) is specifically tuned for smooth shifts, avoiding the overheating issues sometimes found in older dry-clutch designs. While strictly a front-wheel-drive urban crossover, its 180mm ground clearance is ideal for navigating speed bumps and occasional gravel paths during weekend outings.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is built for the GCC climate, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated vents for rear passengers. The five-seat layout offers competitive legroom for a sub-compact SUV, and the cabin is well-insulated against exterior road noise. The dual-tone interior and driver-centric digital dashboard provide a premium feel that belies its entry-level positioning.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive for this trim, including dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which is vital for safe highway driving in extreme temperatures. It also features rear parking sensors and a high-definition reversing camera to make urban maneuvering effortless. The inclusion of Hill Start Hold Control and Traction Control ensures the vehicle remains stable on the varying road surfaces found throughout the region.

The bottom line

Perfect for young professionals or small families, this low-mileage 2025 Trend model offers the technology and style of a luxury crossover at a significant used-market discount.
