Summary

This 2025 Ford Everest XLS is a compelling opportunity for GCC buyers, offering near-new mechanical condition with mileage well below the regional annual average. The Grey exterior is a strategic choice for Middle Eastern conditions, effectively masking desert dust while maintaining strong resale demand alongside white and silver options. Unlike many car-based rivals, this model features a robust body-on-frame construction that makes it a true dual-purpose vehicle for executive commuting and weekend desert excursions. The 2.3L EcoBoost engine provides superior torque compared to standard naturally aspirated V6 competitors, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. For a buyer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, the most critical factor is its GCC-spec cooling system, designed to maintain peak performance during extreme summer temperatures.

This Car vs Other 2025 Ford Everests

With just 13,689 km on the odometer, this Everest has covered significantly less ground than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market. The Grey finish is one of the most practical colors for the region's climate, offering a sophisticated look that holds its value better than more niche exterior colors. Choosing this low-mileage 2025 model allows you to secure a current-generation SUV with its full mechanical life ahead of it, avoiding the long waiting lists often found at local dealerships.

XLS vs Lower Trims

The XLS trim serves as a highly capable entry point into the Everest range, standardizing the essential 4x4 drivetrain and the versatile 7-seat configuration that GCC families prioritize. It features the advanced 10-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster that were previously reserved for higher-tier models, alongside a dedicated terrain management system. Unlike base commercial variants found in other markets, this GCC XLS trim includes critical comfort features like dual-zone climate control and rear cooling vents to handle the local heat.

Everest vs Segment Rivals

The Ford Everest leads rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in terms of towing capacity and interior technology, offering a massive 3,500 kg limit. Its 2.3L EcoBoost engine produces more horsepower than the Fortuner's 2.7L petrol unit, providing better performance for long-distance driving between emirates. The Everest also features a wider track and longer wheelbase, resulting in a more stable and comfortable ride on the highway compared to its more utilitarian competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.3L EcoBoost engine is designed to run efficiently on standard petrol grades available across the GCC, with real-world fuel consumption averaging approximately 9–11 L/100km depending on city or highway use. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized centers like Al Tayer Motors or Premier Motors, ensuring wide maintenance coverage across the UAE. The Everest historically shows strong value retention in the local market, typically retaining 60–65% of its value after three years, which is competitive for the American SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

With a confirmed 3,500 kg towing capacity and a 296 hp EcoBoost engine, this SUV is built for more than just the school run. It features a legitimate 800 mm wading depth and a selectable four-wheel-drive system that allows for confident navigation through wadis and sandy terrain. On the highway, the 10-speed automatic transmission ensures the engine stays in its optimal power band for smooth, quiet cruising at 120 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat cabin is designed for GCC family life, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cooling during the summer months. The SYNC 4 infotainment system provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keeping you connected on long drives across the border. Acoustic insulation has been improved in this generation, significantly reducing road noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

This Everest comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including seven airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Descent Control, which is particularly useful when navigating steep gravel tracks. Standard ADAS features include a rear-view camera and parking sensors, while the robust ladder-frame chassis provides a high level of passive protection. It has earned a 5-star NCAP safety rating, making it one of the most secure choices in its class for family transport.

The bottom line

This low-mileage 2025 Everest XLS is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants a rugged, 7-seat family SUV with modern tech and factory-backed reliability without the new-car premium. It is a highly versatile asset for the GCC lifestyle, equally at home in Dubai's city traffic as it is on a weekend camping trip in the desert.
