Summary

This 2025 GAC M8 GT represents a significant opportunity for buyers looking for a nearly new, executive-level van without the long wait times of a factory order. Its Black exterior is a top performer for resale in the GCC, perfectly complementing the imposing 'Awakening Lion' vertical grille. As the entry point into GAC's most luxurious model line, the GT trim offers a sophisticated alternative to mainstream MPVs by providing a cabin that rivals high-end business lounges. With its GCC-specific cooling systems and powerful 2.0T engine, it handles the heat and highway speeds of the region with remarkable composure. For those moving a large family or executive guests across the Emirates, this is a modern, high-tech choice that prioritizes passenger comfort.

This Car vs Other 2025 GAC M8s

With just over 83,000 km, this M8 has been utilized for consistent regional travel, likely long-distance highway commutes which are typical for high-occupancy executive vans in the GCC. The Black paint remains the most sought-after color for this model in the UAE used market, ensuring better value retention compared to lighter tones. While the mileage is active for its age, it reflects a vehicle that has been regularly run and maintained in local conditions.

GT vs Lower Trims

The GT serves as the foundational trim for the M8 lineup but already includes features that many rivals only offer as premium upgrades, such as the 360-degree surround-view camera and LED 'boomerang' lighting. It features the same robust 252 hp turbocharged powertrain as higher trims, ensuring no compromise on highway performance. While higher trims add specific massage functions, the GT retains the essential dual power-sliding doors and tri-zone climate control vital for GCC summers.

M8 vs Segment Rivals

The GAC M8 stands out against competitors like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Granvia by offering a more aggressive, 'VIP-shuttle' aesthetic and a standard 14.6-inch touchscreen that leads the segment in size. Its 252 hp output provides a more responsive feel during highway overtaking compared to naturally aspirated rivals. Furthermore, the M8's focus on second-row luxury gives it a distinct edge for buyers who prioritize the passenger experience over utility.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0T engine averages around 9.0 L/100km, which is efficient for a 7-seater of this footprint on GCC highways. GAC's partnership with Gargash Motors in the UAE ensures an extensive authorized service network and reliable parts availability across the Emirates. The M8 has shown competitive value retention as Chinese premium brands gain trust locally, benefiting from a 5-year or 150,000 km manufacturer warranty typically supported in the GCC.

Performance & Capability

With 252 hp and 400 Nm of torque delivered to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the M8 reaches 100 km/h in approximately 8.8 seconds. This performance is particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving UAE motorways like the E11 or E311. The front-wheel-drive setup is tuned for road comfort rather than off-road use, making it an ideal long-distance cruiser between cities. Its 65-litre fuel tank provides a substantial range, reducing the need for frequent stops on cross-border drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is centered around second-row captain chairs that offer generous legroom and easy access to the third row. A powerful tri-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents ensures all seven passengers remain cool during peak summer months. Acoustic glass and extensive sound insulation work together to keep the cabin quiet, shielding occupants from road and wind noise during high-speed travel. The high-resolution 14.6-inch infotainment screen serves as the command center for the van's various tech features.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite that includes seven airbags standard, including a specialized rear-windshield airbag to protect third-row passengers. The GT trim includes vital ADAS features like a 360-degree camera system, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning. These systems are particularly effective on multi-lane highways, providing an extra layer of security for family or commercial transport.

The bottom line

This GAC M8 GT is the perfect match for a buyer who wants flagship luxury and modern technology at a far more accessible price point than traditional premium vans. Its strong GCC specification and desirable color make it a smart, practical choice for immediate high-end family or executive use.
