Summary

This 2025 Gaoshan represents the cutting edge of GWM’s premium Wey brand, arriving in the GCC as a high-performance alternative to traditional luxury vans. The Grey exterior offers a modern, professional look that holds strong resale appeal across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, moving away from common white and silver palettes. With a sophisticated 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, this all-wheel-drive MPV delivers effortless highway overtaking power while maintaining significant efficiency gains in city traffic. For families or executive fleets, it offers a level of cabin technology and passenger refinement that rivals high-end European marques at a strategic value point. Backed by GWM’s rapidly expanding service network, this brand-new model is perfectly suited for the long-distance highway hauls common in the region.

This Car vs Other 2025 Gaoshans

As a current 2025 model year with no recorded mileage, this vehicle provides the maximum mechanical lifespan and the most recent software updates available for the platform. In the GCC market where annual mileage often reaches 25,000 km, starting with a brand-new unit is a distinct advantage for long-term reliability. The Grey metallic finish is a highly versatile choice that maintains a clean appearance under dusty desert conditions while retaining professional executive appeal.

Standard vs Lower Trims

The Standard trim on this 2025 model comes exceptionally well-equipped, including the Hi4 intelligent all-wheel-drive system which is often an upgrade in the segment. It features 2+2+3 seating with ventilated and massaging business-class captain chairs that are essential for comfort during the peak GCC summer. Additionally, this trim includes the full 23-speaker premium audio system and the 12.5-liter hot and cold compressor refrigerator as standard equipment.

Gaoshan vs Segment Rivals

The Gaoshan leads rivals like the Toyota Alphard and Denza D9 by offering a potent 480 hp hybrid powertrain that enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.7 seconds. Its 3,085 mm wheelbase allows for a 1,845 mm ultra-long shared seat rail, providing more flexible legroom configurations than most traditional vans. For GCC buyers, the integrated 128-channel LiDAR and advanced Coffee Pilot ADAS suite offer a higher level of automated highway safety than many established Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is a standout, with the plug-in hybrid system achieving a WLTC combined range of 945 km, significantly reducing fuel stops on trips between Dubai and Riyadh. As a premium GWM product, it benefits from a growing authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with parts availability steadily increasing. While depreciation for new-energy luxury brands is typically higher than Japanese stalwarts, the Gaoshan’s high equipment level and AWD capability help maintain a strong 3-year value retention target in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The combined 480 hp and 644 Nm of torque provide immediate response, making highway merging at 140 km/h effortless even with a full load of seven passengers. The Hi4 Performance intelligent all-wheel-drive system offers superior stability during rare but heavy rain showers and on gravel peripheral roads. Despite its luxury focus, the vehicle maintains a composed ride with specialized chassis tuning designed to isolate the cabin from road imperfections during long cross-border drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents and powerful cooling for all three rows. Second-row passengers enjoy one-touch zero-gravity seating, while the 12.5-liter refrigerator keeps beverages at a crisp -6 °C. The interior is dominated by a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and an additional co-driver screen, ensuring that all occupants remain entertained during lengthy family road trips.

Safety

Standard safety features include the third-generation Coffee Pilot system, utilizing a roof-mounted LiDAR to provide advanced adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance on fast-moving highways. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive suite of airbags and a 360° high-definition camera system that makes maneuvering this large MPV in tight city parking spaces remarkably simple. Active emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring come standard, offering essential protection in heavy GCC traffic.

The bottom line

This 2025 Gaoshan is a perfect match for the tech-focused GCC family or executive who demands supercar-level acceleration in a first-class lounge environment. It represents a rare opportunity to secure a brand-new, high-spec hybrid MPV that is fully optimized for the region’s climate and highways.
