Jetour T2 LUX

Highlights

• 220 mm minimum ground clearance
• 700 mm maximum wading depth
• 12-speaker Sony audio system standard

Summary

This 2025 Jetour T2 LUX offers a compelling alternative to established off-roaders, blending a rugged aesthetic with a high-output 254 hp turbocharged engine. Despite its higher mileage for a one-year-old vehicle, it remains mechanically robust for the GCC's long-distance highway hauls and weekend desert trips. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the regional market, ensuring it stays desirable for future buyers. As a Chinese-spec model, it provides a high-tech cabin environment rarely found at this price point. For a GCC buyer, the T2 stands out for offering genuine trail capability without the premium cost of its Japanese or European rivals.

This Car vs Other 2025 Jetour T2s

With 140,000 km on the odometer, this T2 has been utilized heavily compared to the typical 25,000 km annual GCC average. While the mileage is high for its age, it reflects a vehicle primarily used for long-distance cruising rather than punishing city traffic. The Black paint remains a top-tier choice for UAE resale, often fetching a premium over louder colors.

LUX vs Lower Trims

The LUX trim is the definitive choice for the GCC climate, adding essential ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof that lower trims lack. You also gain a superior 12-speaker Sony audio system and an expanded ADAS suite, including a 360-degree camera system that is invaluable for navigating tight parking in Dubai or Riyadh.

T2 vs Segment Rivals

The T2 leads its primary rivals like the Tank 300 and Haval Dargo by offering a larger 15.6-inch infotainment display and a more refined unibody architecture for better highway stability. Its 70-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for cross-border trips between Emirates, outperforming more traditional ladder-frame competitors in daily comfort.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy in the GCC averages between 10 and 12 L/100km, which is respectable for a 4WD SUV in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km following an initial 5,000 km check, with authorized service networks expanding rapidly across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Chinese-spec models face steeper initial depreciation than GCC-spec equivalents, though this is often offset by their lower initial entry price.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 254 hp, the T2 handles highway overtaking with ease. The BorgWarner sixth-generation XWD system includes seven selectable driving modes—including specialized Sand and Rock settings—making it a credible companion for desert weekend excursions. Its 220 mm ground clearance ensures you can clear standard dunes and rocky wadi trails without hesitation.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat layout is designed for family logistics, featuring high-quality cabin insulation to block out wind noise during high-speed highway travel. The dual-zone climate control system is specifically tuned for high ambient temperatures, complemented by rear cooling vents to keep all passengers comfortable during the summer months. Tech-focused buyers will appreciate the Snapdragon 8155-powered interface for lag-free operation.

Safety

Safety is a priority with a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) standard on the LUX trim, including adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. The vehicle is equipped with multiple airbags and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for safety on the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the GCC. A 540-degree transparent chassis camera provides additional visibility when navigating technical terrain.

The bottom line

This Jetour T2 is an ideal match for a high-mileage commuter or a budget-conscious adventurer who wants a modern, tech-heavy SUV that looks and acts like a premium off-roader.
