Summary

This Jetour T2 Luxury Plus is a standout choice for those seeking a rugged aesthetic without sacrificing modern cabin technology. With its 2025 model year and 39,000 km, it has been driven slightly above the GCC annual average, yet it remains a highly competitive option given its high-spec features and remaining factory support. The black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale in the region, offering a sophisticated look that holds its value well. As a monocoque SUV with serious wading depth and terrain modes, it offers a refined highway ride for daily commutes while being fully capable of weekend escapes to Hatta or the desert. For a GCC buyer, the balance of a powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine and a class-leading interior makes this one of the most compelling newer entrants in the market.

This Car vs Other 2025 Jetour T2s

At 39,000 km, this T2 has seen slightly higher than average use for its first year compared to the typical 20,000–25,000 km seen in the GCC, suggesting it has likely spent much of its time on long-distance UAE highways rather than in stop-start traffic. The black exterior is a primary resale driver in the local market, making it easier to trade in later. Being a GCC-spec model, it carries the full weight of local warranty support and cooling systems designed for 45°C+ summers.

LUXURY PLUS vs Lower Trims

The Luxury Plus trim elevates the T2 experience with significant upgrades that GCC buyers value, most notably the premium 12-speaker Sony audio system and a more comprehensive 540° panoramic camera system. While the base trims are well-equipped, the Luxury Plus adds ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof as standard, providing essential comfort during the peak UAE summer months. You also benefit from the full ADAS safety suite and larger 20-inch alloy wheels that define the T2's aggressive stance.

T2 vs Segment Rivals

The T2 leads its primary rival, the GWM Tank 300, in terms of interior digital real estate and urban ride refinement thanks to its modern unibody construction. Compared to traditional crossovers like the Toyota RAV4, the T2 offers a significantly more robust 700 mm wading depth and specialized off-road hardware for those who actually venture onto the sand. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine provides a punchier 390 Nm of torque, making it more confident for high-speed overtaking on the E11.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T petrol engine typically ranges between 10.5 and 12.5 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, depending on how much time is spent on the highway. Jetour has quickly established a strong authorized service presence across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman via official distributors, ensuring parts and maintenance are readily available. The T2 is currently showing stronger value retention than earlier Chinese SUV entrants, largely due to its high feature-to-price ratio and the transferable 6-year manufacturer warranty.

Performance & Capability

The T2 is built for more than just looks, featuring a BorgWarner-sourced intelligent 4WD system with seven selectable terrain modes including Sand and Mud. It delivers a respectable 0–100 km/h time of approximately 8.8 seconds, ensuring it doesn't feel sluggish when merging onto fast-moving UAE highways. With an approach angle of 39 degrees and 220 mm of ground clearance, it comfortably handles rocky trails and light desert dunes that would challenge road-biased competitors.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is dominated by a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, both powered by a Snapdragon 8155 processor for lag-free performance. In the GCC heat, the powerful dual-zone climate control and ventilated front seats are genuine lifesavers, while the acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise at highway speeds. The cabin offers generous legroom for five adults and a large 580-liter boot, making it an ideal vehicle for family road trips across the emirates.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Luxury Plus trim, which includes a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. The 540-degree camera system provides a 'transparent chassis' view, which is particularly useful for avoiding hidden rocks when driving off-road or navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel unibody provide a solid safety foundation for family use.

The bottom line

This 2025 Jetour T2 Luxury Plus is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants a bold, Defender-inspired look and a premium tech-heavy interior without the luxury brand price tag. Its GCC-spec status and high trim level make it a secure and comfortable investment for both daily city driving and weekend adventures.
