Summary

This 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63 represents a compelling opportunity to own the latest evolution of a global automotive icon. With just one year of age and 37,000 km, its mileage reflects a year of typical high-usage GCC commuting while remaining under the protection of its manufacturer-backed period. The 2025 model year is a significant milestone, introducing the 48V mild-hybrid system that adds low-end torque and refines the stop-start experience for better city manners in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is optimized for regional heat and maintains the strongest possible value retention in the local market. For the buyer who demands a vehicle that transition seamlessly from high-profile urban arrivals to weekend desert expeditions, this G63 remains the definitive choice.

This Car vs Other 2025 G63 AMGs

At 37,000 km, this vehicle sits slightly above the average GCC annual mileage of 25,000 km, suggesting it has been used for the long-distance highway drives these SUVs handle so well. While the mileage is higher than a weekend-only car, it is mechanically suited for this use and often ensures the engine has been properly cycled through its break-in period. The 'Other' exterior color, if a sought-after Manufaktur shade, provides a distinct advantage for resale in a market that rewards unique factory configurations.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The AMG G63 sits at the top of the internal combustion range, significantly outperforming the six-cylinder G550 with an additional 142 horsepower. This trim adds essential luxury features for the GCC, including upgraded Nappa leather upholstery, a performance-tuned suspension with adaptive damping, and larger 20-inch AMG wheels as standard. The inclusion of the 360-degree camera with the 'Transparent Hood' function is a standard highlight on this year's G63, making it far easier to navigate tight mall parking or technical off-road obstacles.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 AMG competes directly with the Land Rover Range Rover P530 and the Lamborghini Urus. It differentiates itself with a body-on-frame construction and triple-locking differentials, offering genuine off-road hardware that road-biased rivals lack. Additionally, the upright design provides superior headroom for all five passengers, making it a more practical choice for families who need a vehicle that feels as robust as it looks.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V8 biturbo averages between 14.7 and 18.1 L/100km, depending on how much time is spent in GCC city traffic versus cruising on the E11. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with recommended service intervals every 10,000 km or 12 months to maintain the complex mild-hybrid systems. The G63 historically enjoys some of the highest value retention in the GCC luxury segment, often retaining over 70% of its value after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp V8 engine delivers a top speed of 220 km/h, though the real thrill is the 4.3-second sprint to 100 km/h, accompanied by the signature side-exit exhaust note. Its capability in the sand is legendary, featuring a low-range transfer case and a sophisticated AWD system that can distribute torque precisely to the wheels with the most grip. With 241 mm of ground clearance and three selectable off-road programs (Sand, Trail, Rock), it is engineered to dominate the most challenging dunes in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features the latest MBUX infotainment system with dual 12.3-inch displays and a Burmester 3D surround-sound system as standard. For the GCC climate, the cabin is equipped with high-performance multi-zone climate control and acoustic glass to insulate occupants from external heat and wind noise. The upright seating position provides excellent visibility, while the Nappa leather AMG performance steering wheel ensures the driver feels connected to the road during long cross-country journeys.

Safety

This 2025 model comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Active Steering Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are vital for the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE. The 360-degree camera system provides a virtual view under the vehicle to help avoid damaging the underbody during off-road use. Multiple airbags and a high-strength ladder-frame chassis provide a robust safety cell for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This G63 is the ideal acquisition for the enthusiast who wants the latest tech and performance of the 2025 facelift without the waitlist, offering a turn-key entrance into the GCC’s most prestigious SUV community.
