Summary

This 2025 MG 3 Standard offers a modern entry into the compact hatchback segment, balancing sharp aesthetics with efficient performance. Despite its entry-level designation, the cabin is anchored by a high-resolution 10.25-inch touchscreen that significantly outclasses typical base-trim rivals in the GCC. The 1.5-litre engine is tuned for urban agility and impressive fuel savings, making it an ideal choice for city commuting in Dubai or Riyadh. With the regional preference for Grey as a resilient resale color and the car's 2025 model year advantage, this listing represents a strategic purchase for those prioritizing low running costs without sacrificing modern tech.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG 3s

With 54,746 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting it was likely used for consistent highway commuting between emirates. While the mileage is higher than average for a one-year-old car, it benefits from the latest 2025 generation's structural and technological improvements. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, masking desert dust effectively and maintaining a strong resale profile in the UAE market.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Standard trim serves as the entry point for the new generation MG 3 but retains essential GCC-market features like automatic air conditioning and the signature 10.25-inch central display. Stepping up to the Comfort or Luxury trims would typically add larger alloy wheels and a 360-degree camera, but the Standard trim provides the core digital cockpit and safety systems at a more accessible price point. It remains a tech-forward choice compared to base models of other brands that often omit integrated navigation and smartphone mirroring.

MG 3 vs Segment Rivals

The MG 3 competes directly with the Toyota Yaris and Suzuki Swift, leading the group in standard interior technology and screen real estate. While the Yaris is known for its legendary resale value, the MG 3 offers a more modern cabin environment and a competitive 1.5L powertrain that delivers a punchier 109 hp compared to some sub-compact rivals. Its 42-litre fuel tank and 17.8 km/L efficiency make it a robust long-distance cruiser for the price point.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a primary strength, with a combined cycle of 17.8 km/L ensuring low monthly petrol expenses even in stop-start traffic. MG has established an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals typically set at 10,000 km. While Japanese brands hold value slightly better over long periods, the MG 3’s high initial tech spec helps it maintain a competitive edge in the 3-year resale market compared to other Chinese-manufactured competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine produces 109 hp, enabling a top speed of approximately 180 km/h and a steady 0-100 km/h time of roughly 10.8 seconds. Power is delivered smoothly via a CVT automatic, specifically optimized for the fuel-efficient highway cruising common in the GCC. The front-wheel-drive chassis is tuned for urban maneuverability, featuring a tight turning circle that makes it one of the easiest cars to park in crowded metropolitan areas.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is surprisingly spacious for a hatchback, offering a 5-seat configuration with 293 litres of cargo space that expands significantly with folding rear seats. Standard climate control with PM2.5 filtration ensures the cabin stays fresh during peak summer heat, while the 7-inch digital cluster provides the driver with clear, high-contrast data. Passengers benefit from thoughtful storage solutions and integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity during long commutes.

Safety

The 2025 MG 3 Standard comes equipped with essential safety systems including dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist. Anti-lock Braking (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) provides reliable stopping power on fast-moving highways, while rear parking sensors assist with daily urban navigation. These features are standard on this trim, ensuring a high level of occupant protection compared to basic older-generation hatchbacks.

The bottom line

This 2025 MG 3 is a perfect opportunity for a city-based professional seeking the latest technology and exceptional fuel economy in a near-new package.
