Summary

This 2025 Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Highline represents a practical entry into near-new car ownership, featuring black paint that maintains high desirability in the GCC used market. With mileage that reflects typical annual commuting, it offers a distinct advantage over higher-mileage fleet alternatives commonly found in this segment. The Attrage excels as an urban runabout, providing one of the most cost-effective driving experiences in the region thanks to its lightweight construction and refined CVT. For a GCC buyer, the primary draw is the balance of Mitsubishi's legendary reliability with a fuel economy figure that few petrol sedans can match.

This Car vs Other 2025 Attrages

At approximately 31,399 km, this vehicle sits slightly above the average annual mileage for private cars in the UAE, which typically ranges from 20,000 to 25,000 km. However, in a segment dominated by high-mileage delivery and rental fleets, this privately used example offers better long-term mechanical prospects. The black exterior is a safe choice for local resale, ensuring it remains a liquid asset in the secondary market.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The Highline trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the base GLX by adding a 7-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Unlike lower fleet-focused trims, this version includes cruise control for easier highway commutes between Emirates and 15-inch alloy wheels that improve the car's aesthetic profile. You also benefit from chrome grille accents and a more premium fabric interior that holds up better under the intense GCC sun.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Yaris and Nissan Sunny, the Attrage leads the segment in outright fuel efficiency, making it the preferred choice for long-distance commuters focused on running costs. While rivals might offer larger footprints, the Attrage provides a tighter 9.6-meter turning circle, which is a major advantage for navigating crowded parking structures in Dubai or Riyadh. Its 450-litre boot is also surprisingly large for its class, rivaling cars in the segment above.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is a standout at approximately 4.8 to 5.5 L/100km, performing exceptionally well in both stop-start city traffic and steady highway driving. Mitsubishi enjoys one of the most robust service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with basic maintenance typically required every 10,000 km. Historically, the Attrage retains roughly 70-80% of its value after three years in the GCC, making it one of the lowest-depreciating sub-compact sedans available.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine is optimized for efficiency rather than speed, delivering a focused 76 hp and 100 Nm of torque. It reaches a top speed of 170 km/h and handles highway cruising at 120 km/h with stability, thanks to a well-tuned suspension designed for regional road conditions. The INVECS-III CVT transmission provides smooth, gearless acceleration that removes the jerkiness often found in small-displacement automatic cars during heavy traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The Highline cabin is designed to maximize utility with a 'people-first' layout that comfortably seats five adults. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for high-ambient temperatures, ensuring rapid cooling even during peak summer months. Features like the height-adjustable driver's seat and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls make daily commuting less taxing, while the high-contrast instrument panel remains legible under the direct glare of the desert sun.

Safety

Safety is managed through Mitsubishi's RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction, which effectively absorbs energy during a collision. This Highline trim includes dual front SRS airbags, Active Stability Control (ASC), and Hill Start Assist (HSA) as standard. The braking system is supported by ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), providing reliable stopping power on both well-paved highways and sand-dusted side roads.

The bottom line

Perfect for the cost-conscious commuter or a small family, this 2025 Attrage Highline is a reliable, high-spec alternative to buying brand new at a more accessible price point.
