Summary

This 2025 Nissan Patrol represents the all-new Y63 generation, featuring a complete design overhaul and a refined 3.8L V6 powertrain. With only 22,000 km, this unit is barely broken in and offers a significant saving over a showroom-fresh example while remaining well within its primary service window. The SE Platinum City trim bridges the gap between rugged utility and high-end luxury, making it a perfect daily driver for families across the Emirates. Green is a distinctive and increasingly popular choice that stands out in the sea of white and silver SUVs common in GCC parking lots. For a buyer looking for the latest technology and iconic presence without the premium of the twin-turbo LE, this is the definitive choice.

This Car vs Other 2025 Patrols

With 22,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has slightly higher mileage than a typical one-year-old car in the GCC, but it sits well below the 30,000 km average for highway-heavy users. The rare Green exterior offers a unique resale angle, appealing to buyers who value a bespoke look while maintaining the high liquidity of a GCC-spec Patrol.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City is the range-topping variant for the 3.8L engine, adding significant upgrades over the Titanium trim. It features front-seat massage functions, ventilated and heated front seats, a 360° 3D Around View Monitor, and a large Head-Up Display. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated 12.8-inch entertainment screens, a feature often omitted in lower specifications.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in terms of standard cabin technology and screen real estate, offering a more modern 'Monolith' display setup. Against the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Nissan provides superior off-road heritage and a more specialized all-wheel-drive system for desert excursions. Its 97-litre fuel tank ensures fewer stops on the long stretches between Dubai, Riyadh, or Muscat.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.8L V6 offers a 24% improvement in efficiency over the outgoing V8, with real-world combined figures averaging 10.3 L/100km. Service intervals are set at 10,000 km, with one of the largest authorized service networks in the GCC ensuring parts and maintenance are accessible in even remote areas. GCC-spec Patrols historically retain up to 85-90% of their value in the first two years, making this a safe asset.

Performance & Capability

Developing 316 hp and 386 Nm of torque, the naturally aspirated V6 provides smooth, linear power delivery ideal for long highway cruises and moderate dune bashing. The new 9-speed automatic transmission improves response times and fuel economy compared to the old 7-speed unit. With a 244 mm ground clearance and selectable terrain modes (Sand, Rock, Mud), it handles GCC weekend adventures with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The 8-seat cabin is a masterclass in regional comfort, featuring a high-output tri-zone climate control system designed specifically for 50°C summers. The burgundy quilted leather adds an executive feel, while biometric cooling sensors detect passenger heat to automatically adjust airflow. Extensive acoustic glass and improved insulation ensure the cabin remains quiet during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

This trim includes the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring Frontal Intersection Assist and 'Invisible Hood View' to help navigate tight urban parking and off-road obstacles. Standard safety kit includes 6 airbags, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Forward Collision Warning. The 360° camera with motion detection is particularly useful for managing the vehicle's large footprint in busy city traffic.

The bottom line

This 2025 Patrol SE Platinum City is the ideal balance of the newest Y63 tech and V6 efficiency, perfectly suited for a GCC family that demands luxury and legendary reliability. It offers the full flagship experience with a unique color profile that will maintain strong interest in the local used market.
