Summary

This latest-generation 2025 model represents the gold standard for luxury and utility in the GCC, offering a perfect balance of on-road prestige and off-road dominance. Being a GCC-spec vehicle in a high-demand black exterior, it holds a significant advantage in the local resale market where color and regional specification drive value. This specific trim sits at a sweet spot for buyers who want flagship-level interior refinement without the extreme price tag of the top-tier sporting variants. With three rows of seating and advanced cooling systems, it is purpose-built to handle the intense climate and long-distance highway travel common between major GCC cities. For a buyer looking for a brand-new vehicle that virtually guarantees the best long-term value retention in the region, this listing is the most logical choice. It offers the latest twin-turbocharged performance paired with the legendary reliability that has made this model a cultural icon across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

As a brand-new 2025 model, this vehicle enters the market with delivery-level mileage, offering a distinct advantage over earlier release units that have already seen heavy highway use between emirates. In the GCC, where the average annual mileage often exceeds 20,000 km, starting with a fresh vehicle ensures you maximize the primary years of the manufacturer warranty and service package. The black exterior is highly sought after in the luxury SUV segment across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, making it a much faster-selling asset compared to niche or brighter colors. While many 2025 units are hitting the market in base configurations, this specific example provides the upgraded aesthetic and technical package that sophisticated buyers expect. Choosing a GCC-spec 2025 model over an imported or 're-exported' version provides total peace of mind regarding the cooling system's ability to handle 50-degree summer peaks. This car represents a 'no-compromise' entry into the current model year with the most liquid resale profile available today.

VX vs Lower Trims

The VX trim is a meaningful step up from the base GXR models, introducing a suite of premium materials and technologies that define the modern luxury SUV experience. Buyers moving up to this trim benefit from a significantly enhanced interior, featuring higher-grade leather upholstery and wood-grain accents that elevate the cabin atmosphere. One of the most critical upgrades for the GCC climate found in this trim is the advanced climate control system and ventilated seating, which provide immediate relief during the summer months. You also gain an upgraded infotainment experience with a larger high-resolution display and a premium multi-speaker sound system that rivals high-end home theaters. Additionally, this trim includes the 360-degree panoramic view monitor, a feature that becomes indispensable when navigating tight parking structures in Dubai or maneuvering through rough desert terrain. It effectively bridges the gap between a rugged workhorse and a luxury executive transport.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Nissan Patrol or the Land Rover Defender, this model continues to lead the segment in secondary market demand and long-term durability. It features a sophisticated 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that provides smoother power delivery and better highway efficiency than the aging naturally aspirated V8s found in some competitors. For long-Distance GCC travel, its fuel tank capacity is engineered to allow for cross-border trips or long drives between Riyadh and Dammam with fewer stops. The mechanical simplicity and parts availability across the entire Arabian Peninsula give it a massive edge over European rivals that often require specialized service centers found only in major cities. While competitors may focus on niche performance, this model excels as a true all-rounder, offering more consistent cabin cooling and a predictable maintenance schedule that appeals to family buyers and fleet operators alike. Its reputation for 'going anywhere and coming back' is a qualitative edge that no rival in the 7-seater SUV segment can truly match.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership costs for a GCC-spec model are among the most manageable in the luxury segment, thanks to a massive network of authorized service centers spanning from Muscat to Kuwait City. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine is designed to run efficiently on local fuel grades, returning approximately 9.3 km/L in mixed driving conditions—a significant improvement over previous generations. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months, and because parts are stocked in nearly every corner of the region, repair times are remarkably short compared to premium European brands. In the UAE market, this model historically sees the lowest depreciation in its class, often retaining up to 85-90% of its value after the first year of ownership. By the 3-year mark, it remains a highly liquid asset that can be sold quickly at a premium price due to the legendary trust in Japanese engineering. Choosing this GCC-spec vehicle also ensures full coverage under local agency warranties, which is a major factor for buyers looking for a risk-free investment.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is a potent 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6 engine that generates 409 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in roughly 6.7 seconds. This performance is particularly noticeable during high-speed highway overtaking on the E11, where the 10-speed automatic transmission provides instant gear changes and effortless momentum. Its off-road prowess remains untouched, featuring a genuine low-range transfer case and multiple terrain modes specifically calibrated for the soft sands of the Liwa desert. With a ground clearance of 235mm and a towing capacity of up to 3,500kg, it is as much a weekend adventure tool as it is a daily commuter. The revised suspension system significantly reduces body roll, making it surprisingly agile for a 7-seater SUV when navigating city roundabouts or mountain passes in Hatta. Whether you are climbing dunes or cruising at 140 km/h, the power delivery is refined, quiet, and consistently available.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of this 7-seater is designed to serve as a mobile sanctuary against the harsh external environment of the GCC. The multi-zone independent climate control is widely regarded as the best in the industry, capable of cooling the entire cabin from 45 degrees to a comfortable 22 degrees in just minutes. All three rows offer ample legroom, but the second-row passengers are particularly well-catered for with dedicated air vents and charging ports for long family road trips. High-quality acoustic glass and extensive insulation ensure that road noise and wind whistle are virtually eliminated, even at high highway speeds. The driver’s cockpit is intuitively laid out with a mix of physical buttons for essential off-road functions and a large touchscreen for modern connectivity. The boot space is remarkably versatile, with third-row seats that fold flat to accommodate large grocery hauls or camping gear for weekend excursions. Every detail, from the cooled center console box to the plush armrests, is engineered for maximum comfort during extended periods of use.

Safety

Safety is paramount in this trim, which comes standard with the latest suite of active driver assistance systems designed for the unique challenges of GCC roads. Features like Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection and Lane Departure Alert are invaluable on the high-speed multi-lane highways of the UAE. Adaptive Cruise Control makes long-distance travel across the desert significantly less fatiguing by maintaining a safe distance from leading vehicles automatically. Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide a necessary extra set of eyes when maneuvering this large SUV in busy urban environments. For off-road safety, the vehicle employs advanced Traction Control and Hill-start Assist, ensuring stability on both loose sand and steep inclines. The vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive 10-airbag system, providing wrap-around protection for all seven occupants, contributing to its top-tier safety ratings globally.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands a vehicle that can transition from a high-stakes board meeting in Downtown Dubai to a weekend in the desert without breaking a sweat, this 2025 VX is the ultimate choice. It is a blue-chip investment that offers the highest level of regional prestige and the best resale security in the current market.
