Summary

This 2023 Land Cruiser VXR offers a perfect balance of low mileage and high-tier luxury, with just 32,000 km covered over its 3 years of use. As a VXR trim, it provides the premium cabin experience and advanced safety tech that GCC buyers prioritize, all wrapped in a high-demand Black exterior that maintains exceptional resale strength. This generation's twin-turbo V6 delivers 409 hp, offering significantly better highway overtaking and fuel efficiency than the older V8 models. For a buyer in the Emirates or wider region, this represents a reliable, top-spec SUV that is ready for both executive commuting and cross-border family road trips. It stands out for its legendary reliability and the extensive support network available in every corner of the GCC.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruisers

At 32,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is notably below the GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km, making it an attractive low-use example for a 3-year-old car. The Black exterior is one of the top three resale colors in the region, ensuring high liquidity and value retention when it's time to upgrade. Compared to high-mileage alternatives, this car's mechanical components and interior surfaces show significantly less wear from the intense local heat.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR is the luxury-focused flagship, adding a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 14-speaker JBL audio system, and a 360-degree Multi-Terrain Monitor that lower GXR trims lack. It also introduces critical comfort features for the GCC climate, such as ventilated second-row seats and a four-zone climate control system. Safety is also enhanced with the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, including adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring as standard.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol is the primary rival, the Land Cruiser leads with its superior 10-speed automatic transmission and a more modern twin-turbo powertrain that offers better low-end torque. Its 110-litre fuel tank provides a massive cruising range, ideal for the long stretches between major GCC cities. Furthermore, Toyota’s resale value and the sheer density of its service network in Saudi Arabia and the UAE remain unmatched by competitors like the Chevrolet Tahoe or Ford Expedition.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L twin-turbo averages around 10.1 km/L, which is impressive for a 7-seat SUV in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, though a 5,000 km oil change is often recommended for cars frequently used in dusty desert conditions. This model holds the strongest resale value in the GCC, typically depreciating at just 8–10% annually, which is significantly lower than its European luxury counterparts. Authorized service centers are readily available in every major city from Dubai to Muscat.

Performance & Capability

With 409 hp and 650 Nm of torque, the Land Cruiser 300 hits 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, providing effortless power for merging onto fast-moving highways. It features a sophisticated Multi-Terrain Select system with modes for Sand, Mud, and Rock, supported by a low-range transfer case and a 700 mm wading depth. Whether you are navigating the Liwa dunes or cruising at 140 km/h on the E11, the adaptive suspension ensures a composed and stable ride.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the 45°C summer heat, featuring a high-output AC system and ventilated leather seats for both front and rear passengers. A cooled center console refrigerator keeps drinks cold during long desert drives, while acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise at highway speeds. The third row is power-folding, allowing you to easily switch between seven-seat family duty and a massive cargo area for weekend gear.

Safety

The VXR trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety package including 10 airbags, Lane Trace Assist, and a Pre-Collision System that detects pedestrians and cyclists. For GCC highway driving, the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are invaluable tools for navigating multi-lane traffic safely. It also features a 360-degree camera system that provides a bird's-eye view, making it easy to park this large SUV in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking a near-new, high-spec GCC Land Cruiser that has bypassed the steepest part of the depreciation curve while maintaining very low mileage. It is the ultimate all-rounder for a resident who needs executive prestige by day and rugged desert capability by night.
