Summary

This 2025 Toyota Prado GXL represents the highly anticipated 250 Series, marking a significant leap in refinement and technology over its predecessor. With under 7,000 km, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition, offering a massive saving in time compared to waiting lists for new dealer stock. The new 2.4-liter turbo-petrol engine provides superior low-end torque for city overtaking and sand driving while maintaining better efficiency than the outgoing V6. Finished in Grey, a color with consistently high resale demand in the UAE, this SUV is a secure investment for families and weekend adventurers alike. The move to the TNGA-F platform ensures a far more composed highway ride, making it the perfect companion for long cross-border drives across the GCC.

This Car vs Other 2025 Prados

With just 6,906 km, this Prado has covered less than a third of the average annual distance typical for a GCC-based vehicle. Its low mileage represents a significant buying advantage, effectively offering a new-car experience with the immediate availability of a used listing. The Grey exterior is a strategic choice for the region, balancing heat rejection with strong long-term resale value compared to niche colors.

GXL vs Lower Trims

The GXL trim is the sweet spot for GCC families, adding a power tailgate, roof rails, and rear privacy glass over the base TXR. Inside, it introduces essential comfort upgrades including heated and ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and dedicated rear climate control to keep passengers comfortable during peak summer. Crucially, it upgrades the safety package to include a 360-degree camera and a full Level 2 ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Ford Everest, the Prado leads with its legendary resale value and the most extensive authorized service network in the GCC. While the Nissan Patrol Y62 is larger, the Prado offers superior technical off-road finesse and a more modern 8-speed transmission. Its 110-liter fuel tank capacity remains a segment-leading feature, providing the extended range necessary for long desert expeditions or Dubai-to-Riyadh highway runs.

Running Costs & Resale

The new 2.4-turbo powertrain averages approximately 10.6 km/L, offering a noticeable improvement in fuel costs compared to the previous 4.0L V6 during stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km at authorized Toyota centers, which are readily available in every major GCC city. Historically, the Prado holds approximately 68-70% of its value after three years, outperforming almost every rival in the mid-size SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The 2.4-liter turbocharged engine delivers 430 Nm of torque as early as 1,700 RPM, providing effortless acceleration for highway merging and technical off-road climbs. It features a full-time 4WD system with a locking center differential and a 700 mm wading depth, ensuring it handles seasonal Wadis and desert dunes with ease. The new 8-speed automatic transmission provides smoother shifts and better high-speed cruising comfort than the old 6-speed unit.

Comfort & Cabin

This GXL features a 7-seat configuration with synthetic leather upholstery designed to withstand the rigors of family use and high temperatures. The cabin is equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Strategic features for the GCC climate include powerful rear AC vents and front seats that are both heated and ventilated for year-round comfort.

Safety

The 2025 Prado GXL comes standard with 8 airbags and an advanced safety suite including Blind Spot Monitoring and Front Collision Avoidance Assist. Its Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Trace Assist are particularly effective for reducing driver fatigue on the UAE's multi-lane highways. Additionally, the standard 360-degree camera system makes maneuvering this large SUV into tight city parking spaces significantly safer and easier.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the latest Toyota technology without the wait, this low-mileage 2025 Prado GXL is the premier choice for both daily family duties and serious GCC expeditions.
