Summary

This 2025 Toyota Prado WX represents the latest generation of a GCC legend, combining rugged body-on-frame durability with a modern, high-torque hybrid engine. With just over 12,000 km, this vehicle is barely broken in and offers a significant saving over new showroom prices while maintaining the immediate availability buyers prize. The striking Blue exterior is a refreshing choice in a market dominated by white and silver, yet it retains strong appeal for the active lifestyle this model facilitates. As the all-new 250-series, it leads the segment in refinement and safety tech, making it a premier choice for families who need city comfort during the week and desert capability on the weekend. For the UAE buyer, this American-spec model provides a high-feature cabin at a more accessible entry point than local-spec equivalents.

This Car vs Other 2025 Prados

At 12,080 km, this Prado has covered less than half the distance of the average UAE vehicle in its first year, where highway commutes typically push annual mileage to 25,000 km. While Blue is a lifestyle-oriented choice rather than a traditional high-resale neutral, its rarity on the new 250-series platform makes it a standout option for enthusiasts. This specific mileage provides a perfect balance, having already navigated the steepest part of the new-car depreciation curve while remaining mechanically pristine.

WX vs Lower Trims

The WX trim bridges the gap between utility and luxury, adding high-value features that lower grades like the TXR lack. Owners benefit from the enhanced 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment display, along with the full Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite standard. Unlike base trims that often feature fabric, this model includes upgraded cabin materials and ventilated front seats, a critical comfort feature for the intense GCC summer heat.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

The 2025 Prado outclasses rivals like the Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Montero Sport with its more advanced TNGA-F global truck platform shared with the larger Land Cruiser 300. Its new 2.4L turbo-hybrid powertrain delivers a massive torque advantage for highway overtaking compared to the aging naturally aspirated V6s found in many competitors. Furthermore, Toyota's unrivaled service presence in every GCC territory ensures long-term support that European boutique SUVs cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is approximately 9.5 to 10.5 L/100km, offering a significant efficiency boost in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As an American-spec vehicle, it provides a lower initial purchase price, though buyers should note that local authorized dealers may require specialized service contracts for non-GCC vehicles. Despite the spec difference, the Prado remains one of the slowest-depreciating vehicles in the region, typically retaining over 85% of its value after the first three years due to extreme market demand.

Performance & Capability

The hybrid system produces a verified 326 hp and 630 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless power delivery even when climbing steep dunes. Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the 221 mm ground clearance and a 700 mm wading depth, making it highly capable for seasonal wadi crossings. The Multi-Terrain Select system allows the driver to toggle between Mud, Sand, Rock, and Dirt modes, automatically optimizing the AWD system for GCC-specific terrains.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat WX configuration prioritizes massive cargo capacity and second-row legroom, ideal for long road trips across the Emirates. The cabin is designed to shield occupants from the 45°C+ summer heat with a high-capacity climate control system and insulated acoustic glass. Modern tech highlights include wireless smartphone integration and a premium audio system, ensuring a refined environment whether you are on a school run or a cross-border drive to Oman.

Safety

Safety is headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes a Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving UAE highways, providing an extra layer of protection during long desert drives. The WX also features a 360-degree camera system and blind-spot monitoring as standard, ensuring maximum visibility in tight urban parking or during technical off-road maneuvers.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance to own the latest generation of the world's most trusted SUV with low mileage, offering a high-tech hybrid experience that is ready for both the city and the sands.
